Ryan Hurd Shares His Favorite Memory From the Writing Room

With more than 90 million career streams worldwide, the appetite for new music from breakout artist/songwriter Ryan Hurd is ferocious. He delivers with the perfect fit in “To A T.” The song captures Hurd’s trademark powerful lyrics and melodies woven around a sexy, imploring vocal.  “To A T” is available to stream and download HERE.

Ryan tells CMTT,

“My favorite part of writing “To A T” was getting to do it with Laura Veltz, who we’ve shared a really close creative partnership with for a long time. My favorite memory from the writing room was when she initially brought out the title like it was a personal challenge. Those kinds of songs are really fun. My other favorite memory was when we figured out how the phrasing and wordplay work in the chorus. Those are the fist-pump moments that always make writing so gratifying.”

Ryan is already known around Nashville as an acclaimed songwriter for co-writing hits like the GRAMMY-nominated song “Lonely Tonight” cut by Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe, as well as Luke Bryan’s multi-week number one hit “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset.” His self-titled EP has already racked up over 60 million combined streams, and his latest single “To A T” is quickly becoming a fan favorite with over 16 million streams – you can even catch a glimpse of his wife Maren Morris on the background vocals.
