One of our favorite things to do at CMTT is introduce you to new artists, through features like “New & Noteworthy.” You get a sneak peek into artists before they become stars and can follow them on their journeys from the very beginning. As we wrap up the year, we’re looking ahead to 2019 and the ten artists you should keep an eye on…

Abby Anderson

Abby released her debut EP “I’m Good” this year with the buzzworthy single “Make Him Wait” that resonates with women of all ages. With her bubbly personality, soulful voice, and empowering songs, Abby is just getting started.

Adam Craig

As a songwriter, Adam has had songs recorded by Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, and Parmalee, just to name a few. Now, he’s an artist in his own right. He released the R&B-tinged ballad “Why Can’t She” earlier this year and has been in the studio working on new music. He’ll be releasing a new single by early spring with a tour to follow.

Baylee Littrell

If the last name looks familiar, it’s because Baylee is the son of Backstreet Boys’ Brian Litrell. While it’s obvious that Baylee gets his charming good looks from his dad, that’s where the comparison ends. Baylee’s music is pure country… his debut song “Don’t Knock It” is his plea to a girl not to judge his southern lifestyle until she tries it… complete with bonfires, truck beds, and dirt roads. At only 16 years old, Baylee is just starting to explore his musical direction, but he has a bright future ahead.

Brandon Lay

Opening for Kenny Chesney this year helped lay the foundation for Brandon’s single “Yada Yada Yada” hitting more than 5 million streams on Spotify. The breezy, laid back song was the perfect addition to just about any playlist this year. So what’s next? Brandon is the only country artist featured in Vevo’s DSCVR series, where he’s recorded two Vevo Originals of his songs “For My Money” and “Miss and Tell.

Brassfield

Brothers Bradley and Chadley Brassfield, and Chadley’s wife Jessie Rose Brassfield (who is also the daughter of Exile’s JP Pennington) bring solid harmonies and soul to their music. They’re hitting the studio for their debut project with legendary producer Paul Worley (Lady Antebellum, Dixie Chicks) in 2019, so expect big things from this family band! Take a listen to their cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Fire Away”

Lauren Jenkins

With her smoky voice, Lauren brings a new flavor to country music. Her unique voice is undeniable in the introspective “No Saint,” the title track of her debut album that will be released March 15, 2019. The first look video teases the full concept of a forthcoming short film Jenkins both created and stars in titled Running Out of Road. The film sets her music and passion for storytelling against the backdrop of the American West.

Riley Green

One of the swoon-worthy additions to this list is Riley Green. One look at his socials will show you that the ladies love Riley and with good reason. His off-the-beaten-path brand of country music combined with his genuine nice guy personality is the perfect combination to launch him to stardom.

Seaforth

An Australian duo? Yes. Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordan make up Seaforth… and if you love Dan + Shay, then you’ll love these guys. We chatted with them at the SESAC Awards recently and can tell they are incredibly excited to share their music and get to know American country music fans.

Seth Ennis

Grab the tissues, y’all. Seth Ennis will make you cry in a good way. His latest single “Call Your Mama” features Little Big Town on background vocals and the story of a military family that will break your heart. His debut EP “Mabelle” has been out for nearly 2 years, so we’re excited to see watch this next chapter in his musical journey… and if this song is any indication, it’s going to be quite a ride.

The Sisterhood Band

Holy harmonies! This powerful blend of rock ‘n roll with West Coast folk is energetic and memorable… and it’s no wonder, with the heritage that these ladies bring to the duo. Alyssa is the daughter of Kathie Baillie & Michael Bonagura (the core of country band Baillie & The Boys) and Ruby’s father is rock icon Rod Stewart. Their “Summer Setlist” EP is now available and you can catch them on the road with Jessie James Decker in 2019.
