Trea Landon Launches New Classic Cover Series with “Old Habits”

Trea Landon

Warner Music Nashville’s Trea Landon has got a new habit: putting his spin on classic country songs. The rising artist released the first installment in the cover series, Hank Williams Jr. favorite “Old Habits” (listen HERE). Landon takes listeners inside the recording process with his video from Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios (watch HERE). Fans can expect a new cover monthly through the fall.

“I grew up on classic country music,” he said. “It has had such an influence on the music I make and even the person I am today. I wanted to do this series to pay tribute to the legends that came before me, and hopefully introduce the newer country fans to the hits I grew up on.”

Country music history’s newest ambassador offers an old-school flair in his own music. His first major label project, the Dirt Road Dancin’ EP, is available now (listen HERE). Landon penned four of the five songs on the album, produced by award-winning hit-maker Scott Hendricks. Its flagship single “Loved By A Country Boy” drew immediate attention, charting on Spotify’s US Viral 50 within its first month of release. With more than 35 million on-demand streams already to his name, the 26-year-old Georgia native has been named one of Sounds Like Nashville’s “20 New Country Artists to Watch in 2020” and a MusicRow “Next Big Thing.” MusicRow recently honored Landon once again with a nomination for the Robert K. Oermann Discovery Artist of the Year award.

Landon has endured quarantine on the water and in the mud, from fishing boats to speed boats and four-wheelers to dirt bikes. He wrapped up his final episode of the popular “Training Trea” video series with an outdoor adventure alongside the Nashville Cheese Gal (watch HERE). The guitar-strumming southerner recently took to his porch to perform live versions of his songs – check out “What Feelin’ Good Feels Like” HERE. He continues to write new music that tells tale of love, heartbreak, dirt roads and good times.
