Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood Entertain Fans Live With #GarthRequestLive2 Acoustic Show

Garth Brooks

LIVE from Studio A, where nearly every record Garth Brooks has ever made was cut, he and Trisha Yearwood brought great music and laughter to viewers’ homes across the country with #GarthRequestLive2, an acoustic concert on Facebook Live with a set list consisting entirely of fan requests. In an intimate, laid-back setting, Garth and Trisha sang everything from their greatest hits to music by their favorite artists. They shared fun stories along the way about family, favorite career moments, and their musical inspirations. In honor of Garth’s friend and former team member Emmett Gilliam, who passed away eight years ago and sported a legendary mustache, fans who requested songs did so with a photo or video of them with a (real or creatively crafted) mustache of their own – and Trisha herself showed off a stylish one along with a face mask!

The full show is available to view HERE on Facebook Live for 24 hours ONLY, until 7 PM ET on July 15th. Garth and Trisha’s set included:

  • “Lean On Me” (Bill Withers cover)
  • “We Belong To Each Other”
  • “The River,” one of Garth’s first and favorite hits – Garth told the story of what it was like to hear James Taylor sing this song at Garth’s Country Music Hall of Fame induction!
  • Speaking of James Taylor, Garth and Trisha covered a few of their favorites – “Shower The People” and “Fire and Rain”
  • “Victim of the Game,” a song both Garth and Trisha have recorded
  • An emotional cover of Jim Croce’s “Lover’s Cross”
  • Covers of Bob Seger’s  “Against The Wind,” “Turn The Page,” and “Night Moves,” one of Trisha’s favorites
  • “Last Summer,” which happens to be the song Bob Seger performed at Garth’s Country Music Hall of Fame induction
  • “To Make You Feel My Love,” following a story about how Garth’s version of the song came to be – and Bob Dylan’s last-minute lyric change for Garth during a live performance
  • “Thunder Rolls” – with the third verse
  • “Baby Let’s Lay Down and Dance”
  • “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old),” in honor of a fan’s 50th birthday
  • “Callin’ Baton Rouge”
  • “Friends In Low Places,” which Garth jokes he never actually has to sing, because all of the fans know every word and have for the last 30 years!
  • “I Got You Babe,” featuring Trisha’s best Cher impression
  • A Trisha Yearwood cover of The Eagles’ “Desperado” that makes Garth emotional
  • “When You Come Back To Me Again,” the most frequently requested song of the night
