Chris Lane and Rescue Dog Cooper Launch Nationwide Fundraiser

Chris Lane

Chris Lane and his rescue dog, Cooper, have officially been announced as the ambassadors of Merrick’s ‘BBQ 4 Good’ campaign – a campaign to celebrate the launch of Merrick Pet Care’s slow-Cooked BBQ recipes and help raise much-needed funds for shelter dogs nationwide.

For every order placed on DoorDash from now until July 4, 2020 using the code ‘BBQ4Good,’ Merrick will make a $1 donation to North Shore Animal League America(NSALA), up to $25,000. NSALA is the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the United States. Additionally, diners in Austin, Baltimore or Chicago can order directly from a participating restaurant, and Merrick will donate $10 per order (up to $10,000) to a local shelter partner.

“Shelters need our support now more than ever,” Lane said about the campaign. ” That’s why Merrick is encouraging us to order on DoorDash to support dogs in need this summer. It’s also helping out the restaurant industry, which has also had a lot of challenges this year. It feels great to be a part of this campaign doing so much good.”

“While interest in pet adoption has never been higher, local shelters need our support more than ever. At the same time, local restaurants have faced significant challenges this year,” said Barbara Liss, Vice President of Marketing for Merrick Pet Care. “At Merrick, we know how to deliver tasty and nutritious meals to pet food bowls. By working together with DoorDash and local BBQ restaurants, we are able to deliver on our commitment to giving back to the community by supporting local restaurants and helping shelter pets at the same time.”
