Following the surprise release yesterday of his “emotive” (Billboard) all-star collaboration “Be A Light,” featuring friends Reba McEntire, Hillary Scott, Chris Tomlin and Keith Urban, MULTI-PLATINUM entertainer Thomas Rhett appeared on NBC’s TODAY this morning.

Joining via FaceTime from his home in Nashville, the 5X ACM Awards nominee shared details behind “the timely new release” (PEOPLE) on his 30th birthday with anchors Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, even offering up an impromptu acoustic performance for viewers. The song pegged as “an urgent message of radiating hope and positivity in the darkest of times” (Rolling Stone) was written by Thomas Rhett with Josh Miller, Josh Thompson and Matt Dragstrem and directly benefits the MusiCares® COVID-19 Relief Fund to help people in the music industry affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak and subsequent cancellation of multiple music events.
