Country music singer / songwriter and the newest addition to the Warner Music Nashville Family Shy Carter is starting out his major label career with an entrance worthy of his massive personality and even more massive string of hits. Superstar Tim McGraw, known as much for his chart-topping songs and multi-media dexterity as his generosity in supporting up-and-coming artists, has invited Carter to join him for a performance of “Way Down” this afternoon at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! in celebration of the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Fans can tune in to ESPN beginning at 4:30pm/3:30c to catch McGraw’s full set on the Capital One Stage at the Allstate Championship Tailgate Plaza, including the dynamic new artist’s special appearance. Carter previously joined McGraw for the song’s live debut at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in September. Check out a special video of the duo performing at soundcheck HERE

The songwriter, artist, rapper and producer, who now calls Music City his home, has reached all corners of the industry with his early success. With credits that span Kane Brown’s “Heaven” to Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away,” Carter is one of the most formidable up-and-coming talents in Nashville and beyond. He is among the writers behind Billy Currington’s “It Don’t Hurt Like it Used To,” Sugarland’s smash hit “Stuck Like Glue” and Rob Thomas’ single “Someday.” In addition to his feature on “Way Down,” Carter has collaborated with Keith Urban on both “Never Comin’ Down” and “My Wave.” Named to Variety’s 2018 Hitmakers list, he has also worked with Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly and more.
Carter’s team includes BMG Music Publishing, BMI, William Morris Endeavor and Truth Management. Keep an eye out for new music in the coming months.
