Nashville rising talent Matt Stell was the only country artist tapped for the multi-genre, global Vevo DSCVR 2020 program, which spotlights promising new talent. Stell showcases his edgier side in two stripped-down music videos live now on Vevo.

The videos feature Stell’s raw guitar style, and a distinctive vocal ferocity on two songs including his next radio single and the title track from his EP, “Everywhere But On” HERE and “I Bet Whiskey Would” HERE . Both songs, as well as Stell’s Gold, multi-week No. 1 “Prayed For You,” and his recently released sultry cover of Ariana Grande’s hit “God is a woman,” are available now on Stell’s debut EP Everywhere But On. “I’m really excited to be a part of Vevo DSCVR 2020,” said Stell. “I’ve found new music I love from DSCVR. I love how it encompasses a lot of different genres. I know it’s a great way to get music in front of people who might not otherwise get the chance to hear it. And it always looks and sounds so damn cool.”

Vevo is releasing the content in advance of tomorrow’s live broadcast of the 2019 CMA Awards, where Stell will be walking the famed Red Carpet for the first time.

With a career poised to skyrocket, Stell continues to ride the success of his breakthrough hit “Prayed For You,” which spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and one week at No. 1 at Country Aircheck/Mediabase – a FIRST for any debut artist single in 2019. Penned by Stell, Ash Bowers, and Allison Veltz, “Prayed For You” has amassed more than 100 million streams and was certified Gold by the RIAA in September.

Vevo’s ‘Artists to Watch’ program is now in its sixth year with the list consisting of 20 artists who Vevo believes will break through in the coming year. Vevo has a long history of supporting emerging artists through their DSCVR program, creating unique, fresh-take content that provides a catalyst for exposure with new audiences. Past alumni of Vevo’s DSCVR series includes Billie Eilish, Sam Smith, Alessia Cara, Mitchell Tenpenny, and more.
