CoJo Music / Warner Music Nashville’s Cody Johnson had the home field advantage last night in Houston, Texas when he performed the national anthem prior to Game 7 of the World Series (WATCH HERE). The Houston Astros battled the Washington Nationals for the title at the 115th Fall Classic with the Nationals ultimately walking away with the win. Presented by YouTube TV, Johnson performed during the opening ceremony which was broadcast live on FOX.

Johnson recently received his first-ever nomination for New Artist of the Year at the 53rd annual CMA Awards. Since the release in January, Johnson’s major label debut Ain’t Nothin’ To It – which debuted at No.1 on both the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and their all-genre Digital Albums chart – has reached almost 275 million on-demand streams. He has received critical praise from outlets such as The New York Times, Associated Press, Billboard and more, with Rolling Stone stating that he “finds himself rapidly hurtling toward mainstream stardom with a unique concept in his arsenal: actual country music.” Hosted by Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton, the awards will air live from Nashville on November 13, 2019 at 8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT on ABC.

The past year has seen 40+ sold-out shows and half a million in paid attendance for the country star. COJONATION can find him on his relentless tour schedule at headlining shows through December. He will then begin 2020 on Miranda Lambert’s Wildcard Tour on January 16 in Tupelo, MS. For a full list of tour dates, visit https://www.codyjohnsonmusic.com/tour.
