Yesterday (7/16) rising singer/songwriter Riley Green celebrated his first No. 1 with “There Was This Girl” alongside co-writer ERIK DYLAN. Hosted by BMI at Nashville’s The Sutler, the No. 1 bash was filled with family, friends, BMLG Records’ team and key Country partners. The event was a special moment for the duo as it marked both of their first No. 1’s for the debut single from BMLG Records.

Reflecting on a whirlwind year, Green and Dylan shared memories about writing the hit together and the speed in which it launched to Country radio. They played the chart-topping track on stage together, which Green then followed with a surprise performance of “I Wish Grandpa’s Never Died” – his newest self-penned track, he announced will be released soon, that has taken on a life of its own with fans.

“I’m so happy to be able to share this moment with my family and friends in Nashville – it’s finally starting to feel real and I couldn’t be more excited to work for my next number one,” said Green.

With a passion for performing night after night and connecting with audiences directly, Green has let his fans lead the way when it comes to releasing music. His 2018 IN A TRUCK RIGHT NOW EP (BMLG Records) introduced his mixture of outlaw-rebellion and respect for tradition across his self-penned four tracks, including debut No. 1 hit single “There Was This Girl.” His follow-up single “In Love By Now” is currently ascending at Country radio from his newly released GET THAT MAN A BEER EP (BMLG Records). The EP serves as a second collection of songs, co-written by Green and produced by Dann Huff, giving fans a preview of his forthcoming debut album. Rolling Stone Country, Taste of Country, Whiskey Riff, Sounds Like Nashville and iHeartRadio among others have all named Green an “Artist to Watch,” in addition to being selected as a CMT “Listen Up Artist” and one of MusicRows 2019 “Next Big Things.”

Currently on the road with Brad Paisley’s 2019 WORLD TOUR this summer, Green joins Jon Pardi’s HEARTACHE MEDICATION TOUR in the fall before he embarks on his headlining GET THAT MAN A BEER TOUR. For a full list of dates and more information, visit RileyGreenMusic.com.
