Colbie Caillat and Gone West to Perform on PBS’ A Capitol Fourth

Gone West

PBS’ A Capitol Fourth is returning live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for its 39th year on Thursday, July 4th from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET. We are thrilled to announce multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat with her new band Gone West will be performing.

A Capitol Fourth’s family-friendly Independence Day celebration will commemorate our country’s 243rd birthday with all-star music performances and is the country’s longest-running live national July 4th celebration.

Caillat is a multiple Grammy Award winner who has previously collaborated with Taylor Swift and Jason Mraz. She teamed up with her fiancé Justin Kawika Young, singer-songwriter Jason Reeves and songwriter and Academy of Country Music Award nominee Nelly Joy to form Gone West. Bringing a new freshness to modern country, their songs include Tides, This Time, and Home Is Where the Heartbreak Is.

Performers sharing the stage with Gone West include Carole King and the cast of Beautiful starring Vanessa Carlton, American Idol winner Laine Hardy, multi-platinum recording artist and star of television and film and Broadway Vanessa Williams, and Tony-nominated singer-songwriter and actress Keala Settle. Emmy-nominated actor and producer John Stamos will be hosting the show.

The program will be live-streamed on PBS.org, YouTube, and will be available as Video on Demand for a limited time.
