Grand Ole Opry Kicks Off CMA Fest Week With Two Sold-Out Shows and Opry Plaza Party

The Grand Ole Opry kicked off CMA Fest week last night with a star-studded lineup that included Carrie Underwood, Chris Janson, TravisTritt, Bill Anderson, Josh Turner, and Michael Ray plus a surprise appearance by Darius Rucker.

The Opry showcased its Opry NextStage Class of 2019 artists Riley Green, Tegan Marie, Tenille Townes and Travis Denning during a free Opry Plaza Party throughout the night. Following the shows, Underwood announced a return to the Opry for two shows each night on July 19 and 20. 

Upcoming Opry performances scheduled for CMA Fest Week include shows on Thurs., June 6, Fri., June 7, and Sat., June 8. Among those on Opry shows later in the week are Charles Esten, Home Free, Crystal Gayle, Scotty McCreery, Lorrie Morgan, Oak Ridge Boys, Carly Pearce, Charley Pride, Ricky Skaggs, Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Watson, and Chris Young. A Saturday matinee performance of Opry Country Classics features Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Pride, Mason Ramsey, Don Schlitz, and more at Ryman Auditorium.
