Powerhouse vocalist/songwriter Maggie Rose made her national TV debut on NBC’s TODAY Show this morning. Rose talked with TODAY Show hosts Al Roker, Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin, and gave a powerful performance of ballad “It’s You” off her critically-acclaimed live album, Change The Whole Thing. Earlier in the week, Rose also stopped by Paste Magazine‘s New York office, for an in-studio performance with her eight-piece band, which was live streamed and featured via YouTube. Rose was on the East Coast ahead of press visits, as direct support, opening select tour stops with Kelly Clarkson.

During an in-depth interview with People.com, she shared,

“When Kelly invited me out on tour with her, I knew this was an opportunity I could not pass up” says Rose. “I really had nothing to lose and everything to gain. To give someone like me 45 minutes in front of the fans — there is nothing like it. The way that she treats people like me makes me want to extend that same courtesy to someone else.”

She added, “Throughout my career, I have spent much time thinking about the best way to get my music and my message across, so to be able to reach people in their homes through this performance [Today Show] has me psyched,” says Rose.
