On Monday afternoon, friends, family, media and industry tastemakers gathered at the Tin Roof for a celebration hosted by ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC to honor Mitchell Tenpenny’s first No. 1 hit, “Drunk Me.” Written by Tenpenny (BMI), Justin Wilson (SESAC), and Jordan Schmidt (ASCAP), the song was the first single from Tenpenny’s debut album Telling All My Secrets. The packed room gathered to hear comments by the PROs, publishers, and writers themselves and was a testament to the songwriting family that Tenpenny has created with his songwriting peers. The Platinum-certified “Drunk Me” was released in March 2018 and topped the Mediabase/Country Airplay chart in December.

Tenpenny released Telling All My Secrets December 14 and earned the best country first-week showing for a major label debut album of 2018, amassing 20,000 units. The 11-song project includes his new single “Alcohol You Later,” which Tenpenny co-write with Michael Lotten and Sam Sumser, who also produced the track. ”Alcohol You Later” was one of the most-added singles at country radio this week, garnering 43 first-week stations. Telling All My Secrets is available to download and stream HERE.

Named by The New York Times as one of the Best Songs of the Year (all genres), “Drunk Me,” which topped Nielsen’s Country On-Demand Audio Stream Chart the first week of 2019 and has accumulated nearly 200 million streams, made multiple Amazon Music “Most Played” and “Best Of” year-end lists. The smash track, which remains a streaming Top 5, fueled a breakout year for the entertainer who will make his Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday, Feb. 16. Tenpenny was the only country up-and-comer included in Pandora’s 2019 Artists to Watch list, and was also dubbed one of MusicRow’s Next Big Thing honorees and The TennesseanNext Nashville Stars for 2019.

On Feb. 1, Tenpenny concluded his “Telling All My Secrets Album Release Tour” which took the celebration of his album release to his long-supportive fans cross-country. He will join Old Dominion’s “Make It Sweet Tour” beginning February 27 through April 27 as a special guest.
