Cledus T. Judd’s Controversial “Illegals” Video Reaches Over 2.6 Million in 5 Days

Cledus T. Judd’s humor has hit the funny bone of music and comedy fans for over 20 years, but his latest is also striking a nerve. His new hot topic “Illegals” video was posted five days ago and already has over 2.6 million views, 88,000 shares and over four million people reached. Written by Dan Demay, Brandon Kinney and Jamie Teachenor, Cledus originally recorded the song 10 years ago and felt the time was right to re-cut it.

“This has been a sensitive issue for quite some time in our country – even back when I cut it the first time,” said Cledus. “It’s a serious topic, and we weren’t out to offend nobody, but we thought we could have a little fun with it in the video.”

The clip begins with an apparent illegal immigrant driving a Cadillac carrying 10 people and passing Cledus in a Yugo. Cledus tries to talk to him at a gas station, and it becomes obvious the driver doesn’t speak English. Cut to the next scene, and Cledus is waiting in a grocery store line to pay for his Cap’n Crunch cereal, while “an army of illegals” is buying two carts of food and one cart of steaks. He shows up for work and finds out he has been replaced by illegal workers. The surprising ending of the clip is pure Cledus.

Since blasting “strate outta retarment” last summer, Cledus has released the gut-busting “My Weight’s Goin’ Up Down” spoof of Bebe Rexha’s chart-topping “Meant To Be” featuring Florida Georgia Line and the hilarious new video “Gotta Pee” video. Top comedy production and management company Bang Productions released “Gotta Pee” on their massive network of online comedy fans, resulting in over 3.4 million views to date. On Facebook alone, Cledus’ followers have skyrocketed from a few hundred to over 72,000 in a matter of weeks.

Judd will kick off the new year on The Southern Momma Cledus T. Judd Comedy Experience January 4, 2019 at the Will Rogers Auditorium in Ft. Worth and then on to the Savannah Theatre in Savannah, GA January 11 & 12. Information on dates, tickets and more can be found here.
