SESAC Inc. held its annual Nashville Music Awards on Sunday, November 11 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, which celebrated its songwriters and music publishers behind the year’s most-performed country and Americana songs.

The big winner of the night was the song “Heaven,” recorded by Kane Brown. Not only did it earn the Song the Year award, but both the SESAC writer (Matt McGinn) and the publisher (SMACKWORKS MUSIC) were honored with the Songwriter of the Year and Publisher of the Year awards, respectively.

The evening started with red carpet appearances from Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Lee Brice, Russell Dickerson, and more:

During the ceremony, Jamey Johnson and John Carter Cash performed “Spirit Rider” from the recent project Johnny Cash: Forever Words. Lee Brice also performed a moving tribute of his 2013 CMA Song of the Year “I Drive Your Truck” in honor of Veteran’s Day. DJ KO, Runaway June, Tyler Rich, Seaforth and Michael Tyler wrapped up the night by performing their latest hits.
