New Song Showcase: Abby Anderson’s “Make Him Wait”

Abby Anderson’s new debut single, “Make Him Wait”, released digitally on April 27th, and is due to impact country radio on June 4th, is a beautiful ballad with heavy piano accompaniment and showcases Abby’s impressive vocal range and control of her deep rooted country voice and suburb control of the pen as she wrote the song along with cowriters Tom Douglas and Josh Kerr.  She has the kind of female voice with heart that I enjoy when I choose to listen to a lady sing.

The song itself is about developing the right kind of relationship with a man by actually making him wait – on the phone, at the door, to meet your Dad, making him hold hands before that first kiss.  It’s about not jumping into the relationship without doing the work because love is worth waiting for, and if he’s the right kind he won’t mind.

In this day and age, immediate gratification is the way most of us live with onsite dating, apps to do all the work for us, texting and Facebooking just to name a few.  It’s almost unheard of for a man to actually “call on” a lady and take her on a real date instead of just meeting up for a quick drink and trite conversation before choosing whose apartment to visit.  This song is reminiscent of the dating days I remember (yep, that old!) when it actually took getting to know someone before stepping out with them for the evening.

This is a very easy listening song and will make a very pleasant addition to your repertoire of new music.  You can follow Abby at abbyandersonmusic.com, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

The single can be found on the regular online digital outlets and be sure to listen for it on the radio soon!
