Hurricane Harvey Prevents Mark Chesnutt From Traveling To Overseas Music Festival In U.K.

Iconic country traditionalist Mark Chesnutt was forced to cancel his appearance overseas at music festival in Millport, U.K. due to the natural disaster in his home state of Texas.

Chesnutt is unable to leave his neighborhood due to the extreme flooding from Hurricane Harvey. The storm reached Beaumont on Sunday, dumping 20 inches of rain, with continued rain and flooding on Tuesday. As a result, Chesnutt and neighbors lost access to running water and the Beaumont Airport has been temporarily closed.

“I’m safe and my family is safe, and we are among the lucky ones to have only sustained minor damage to our home. Though I am disappointed to cancel my appearances, I am mostly thankful for my fans everywhere and hope they’re safe too,” Chesnutt said.

Chesnutt plans to return to the road Sept. 09 in Gstaad, Switzerland and resume his touring schedule (tour dates below). Tickets and VIP passes are available at MarkChesnutt.com.

Go Keith Urban! Sure hope you have better luck at the CMAs than the ACMs! You deserve to win them all. You get robbed so many times. But those agencies have their favorites and they seem to be the artist that win everything!
