Wynonna Joins #FreetoTweet

wynonna

Wynonna Judd has added her name to the growing list of artists and celebrities speaking out in support of freedom of expression.
As part of the 1 for All campaign, Wynonna will participate in “Free to Tweet,” a daylong online celebration of First Amendment rights on Dec. 15, Bill of Rights Day. During the tweetathon, all Americans are encouraged to tweet their support of the First Amendment and how they enjoy those freedoms—using the hashtag #FreeToTweet.

High school and college students nationwide are eligible to win one of 22 $5,000 scholarships by tweeting creatively about the First Amendment. More information is at FreeToTweet.org.

“My success in music would not have been possible without freedom of expression,” said Wynonna. “It’s an honor for me to join in supporting the 220th anniversary of Bill of Rights Day.”

The unprecedented 1 for All campaign is the largest of its kind in scope and reach, and uses a fresh approach by featuring public figures celebrating their freedoms to tweet, rock, write, read, sing, worship, assemble, petition and much more.

Ellen DeGeneres, John Mellencamp, Ke$ha, and David Gregory were among the first wave of performers, artists and journalists to show their support for the First Amendment by appearing in the ads.

The Oak Ridge Boys, Wynonna & Jason Michael Carroll Can Take the”IF” Out of Gift, And You Can, Too!

Cracker Barrel

For a great gift with no worries ‘if’ it will get there on time, ‘if’ it’s personal enough, or ‘if’ it’s something they can use, choose a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® digital gift card. With these electronic versions of Cracker Barrel’s traditional plastic gift cards, you can add a personal message and photo, schedule delivery right down to the day and time, and even share it socially on Facebook. And now you can add an image of the Oak Ridge Boys, Wynonna Judd, or Jason Michael Carroll Cracker Barrel CD cover for the music lovers on your list.

“The Oak Ridge Boys are having lots of fun with Cracker Barrel’s digital gift cards,” said Joe Bonsall of The Oak Ridge Boys. “We go to crackerbarrel.com/store/gift-cards/ and order a digital gift card. This is where the fun begins. We then add a personal photo, or select the image of our CD cover, add a message, decide how much we want the card to be worth from $10.00 to $500.00, pick a delivery date, and we’re done. Our friends get the gift of the kind of good country cookin’ that we like to eat when we visit at Cracker Barrel or they can pick out something for themselves from Cracker Barrel’s store. And when they see a picture of our CD on the gift card, it’s a gentle reminder to listen to our music or to buy our CD, It’s Only Natural, which Cracker Barrel recently released through their exclusive music program for one of their friends. I love the way this works!”

Cracker Barrel’s digital gift cards with exclusive music program CD images also include Wynonna Judd and Jason Michael Carroll. Wynonna’s Love Heals CD debuted at #7 on the Billboard Magazine Top Country Albums chart in May 2010. Jason Michael Carroll’s Numbers CD was released in July 2011 with a compilation of songs about everyday life experiences, including “Alyssa Lies,” which reached #5 on the Billboard Country Chart from Carroll’s 2007 album.

Wynonna “Thanks & Giving”

Wynonna is picking up right where The Judds left off. The country star has a run of solo dates that commence today in the same city The Judds concluded their tour, Phoenix, Arizona. In 2010, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) followed the country duo on their tour, The Judds: Final Encore. The six-episode docu-series premiered on the network this past April with the highest ratings outside of OWN’s launch week. With the success of the show and the farewell tour behind her, Wynonna is hitting the road again. This time, she is heading out on her own and, in the spirit of the holidays, is looking forward to thanking her fans in the process.
In gratitude of the loyal support of her fans over the years, Wynonna will host a “Thanks & Giving” meet & greet at every stop along the tour.

“It means a lot to me to have such dedicated and hardworking fans that have been with me throughout my journey. Thanking each person is always hard to do, but I’m going to meet as many fans as possible and express my appreciation to them in person” shares Judd. Fans can go to wynonna.com for complete details.

Before closing out the year, Wynonna will also return to the studio in December to continue working on her 8th studio album for Curb Records.

Wynonna to Headline Free Independence Day Concert in Georgia

Wynonna Judd, will be performing at the 29th Annual Independence Day Concert on July 1st in Warner Robins, Georgia. Judd will be joined by CNN Headline News morning show anchor Robin Meade and the Emmy nominated U.S. Air Force Reserve Band.

The free show will start at 8 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem and an F-15 fighter jet fly over at McConnell-Talbert Stadium and will conclude with a celebratory fireworks show. This year marks the 29th year of the annual partnership concert and it is expected to draw an upwards of 30,000 people. The show will be taped and broadcast on the Fourth of July on American Forces Network, a television broadcast network that serves American service men and women and their families stationed at bases overseas.

The Independence Day concert is just one way for the Air Force Reserve to say thank you to the 1.1 million deployed service members and their families, in addition to the surrounding communities. It is their opportunity to show their gratitude for the overwhelming military support shown throughout the mid-Georgia region and across the nation.

Leading up to the July 1st concert, Wynonna will be making an appearance on Meade’s CNN Headline News “Morning Express with Robin Meade” during the 8am hour on Thursday, June 30th. General Charles Stenner and war hero Staff Sergeant Warren will be on hand to discuss the importance of the upcoming Independence Day celebration.
