Wynonna Judd to Bring Holiday Cheer to the Children of Make-A-Wish

Trading in his reindeer for a shiny Macy’s tour bus, Santa Claus is coming to Nashville in style today! Visiting children of all ages, Santa will welcome one-and-all to join in the festivities, as he reminds everyone about the magic of the Christmas season and shares a few magical moments with his jolly elves.

Santa will continue to spread cheer with a special private visit to the Belle Meade Mansion at the historic Belle Mead Plantation where 5-time GRAMMY winner Wynonna Judd will perform holiday songs for the Make-A-Wish kids and their families as well as tour the historic mansion’s holiday decorations. That evening, Santa will share his joy and Christmas cheer with the community at Macy’s at Green Hills at 6 p.m.

Now in its third year, Macy’s famous Santa will embark on his popular whirlwind American tour. Aflac will partner with Macy’s to bring holiday happiness to boys and girls in 26 cities across the United States through December 21, when Santa’s National Tour gives children the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the man himself.

As it has for the past three years, Macy’s “Believe” campaign invites children to mail letters to Santa using Macy’s Santa Mail Letterboxes. Macy’s donates $1 for each letter mailed in store, up to $1 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.

Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler Backstage with Dolly Parton – Picture of the Day

Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler

I just LOVE this picture. Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood pose backstage with Dolly Parton at Dolly’s “Live From London” DVD premiere party at the Tracking Room last night (Nov. 9) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The stars were out to celebrate Dolly’s new DVD, including Wynonna Judd and George Jones (I wonder if George had anything nice to say to Carrie last night).

Country Girl Clean Up Time

Yeah – Country Girl has been behind for sometime now.  A few weeks maybe – can’t help it.  Life gets crazy so now it time for some MAJOR inbox clean up.

FYI – Rascal Flatts fans – check back a little later for something extra special!

Watch Jamey Johnson strip down his performace of “In Color”  It’s an in studio performace and interview that is AMAZING!  (anyone notice I use that word a lot?  I am gonna have to find a new word….to my dictionary I go) Thanks to Jess for sending us the information!  We love ya girl!

Country meets gospel as country music star Wynonna Judd performs a powerful rendition of “How Great Thou Art” on the Sunday, April 19 episode of BET’s gospel singing competition show, SUNDAY BEST. Viewers can watch as inspired gospel hopefuls compete for the title of SUNDAY BEST every Sunday at 9 PM est.  While uplifting hearts with each performance, this season’s show is hosted by Grammy Award winners Kirk Franklin with Erica and Tina Campbell of Mary Mary and BeBe Winans acting as judges.

I owe a big apology to our friend Broadway. It seems I have been ignoring him the most! Give Broadway some major love and check out his website at: www.theelectricbarnyard.com  He has some really cool stuff to check out.  Interview with Jared Ashley, Rodney Adkins and Jamey Johnson.  They also have a great tribute to drunken stupidness to celebrate the feud with John Rich and Jared Ashley.

Check out our interviews with Katie Armiger from CRS week (see I told you I was behind).
