It’s a Girl For Dierks Bentley

The stars are considering their steady stream into the WSIX studios to say farewell to Gerry House. Gerry has been keeping us company over the airwaves here in Nashville for over 30 years. This past week Gerry caught up with Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, and some folks from the city of Nashville.

During his interview with Dierks Bentley, Dierks announced that baby #2 that is due in a couple of weeks is indeed another girl. The new addition will join Dierks, his wife Cassidy, and 2 year old Evie. Congrats Dierks!!

The Stars Step-Out to Bid Gerry House Farewell

Gerry House, Nashville’s famed morning personality is rounding out his final weeks. The folks of Nashville have been entertained on their morning drives for nearly 30 years by Gerry and his “House Foundation.” The stars are also going to miss Gerry…They have the most candid chats. This week, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have all stepped out and into the studio to chat and bid Gerry farewell.

I highly recommend listening to the Keith Urban interview…turns out he’s reading Water for Elephants and has watched a Twilight movie or two…

We will miss you Gerry…You’ve kept us entertained for many years…no-one interviews our favorites like you do…

The Big 98 Guitar-B-Que with Thompson Square, David Nail, Chris Young, Jake Owen, & Randy Rogers Band

Thompson Square will be among Nashville’s brightest country stars performing at the inaugural Big 98 Guitar-B-Que event held on Wednesday, October 6th at 6pm on Division Street, directly in front of Losers Bar and Grill in Nashville. This event is free to the public and open to all ages.

Local bar-b-que tastemakers will be on hand with food available for purchase at this one- of-a-kind end of summer celebration, but the highlight of the night is the live music line-up with country’s top artist. New husband-and wife duo Thompson Square will perform their current Top 40 radio hit, “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” as well as other songs that can be found on their forthcoming Stoney Creek Records debut album, due out first quarter of 2011. Other acts on the line-up include, Randy Rogers Band, Uncle Kracker, Chris Young, Jake Owen and David Nail.

“As much as we love playing out on the road, there’s nothing like performing at home in Nashville,” explains Keifer. “Shawna and I were really excited to be asked to perform at this cool event.”

The new duo will hit the road for a whirlwind month opening up for Jason Aldean on his Wide Open 2010 Arena Tour, starting on October 21.
