Larry the Cable Guy & Friends – TOO FUNNY FOR WORDS!

It was Christmas in July last night when Larry the Cable Guy cracked Nashville’s T-Pac theater wide open for the taping of his annual Hula-Palooza Christmas Luau.

The holiday special will premiere Friday, November 20 at 9:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., ET/PT on CMT.

Returning this year to CMT, Larry’s 90-minute special includes such guest stars as Kenan Thompson (“Saturday Night Live”), Caroline Rhea, George Lindsey (“The Andy Griffith Show”), comedians Reno Collier and Jon Reep, Peter Oldring, Sara Erikson, the MuzikMafia’s Two Foot Fred, mentalist Marc Salem and returning favorites Tony Orlando and Angela Little MacKenzie (“Reno 911”).

It was a perfect date night for me and my husband.  Just the right mix of comedy and music when Zac Brown Band and Billy Currington hit the stage.

Make sure to set your DVR’s to tape the special or pick up a copy of the DVD when it’s available on Tuesday, November 24th.

Watch for Country Girl and her hubby cheering on Santa in the wrestling skit.  We are just behind the wrestling ring on the risers.

John Rich Interview with CMTT Part 2

We posted Part 1 of our John Rich interview for you yesterday.

So now we know to expect all of the same fun and craziness that Big & Rich is out on tour this year.  They will also be bringing along Cowboy Troy and Two Foot Fred.  It sounds like the show is going to get expanded since both John and Big Kenny have been working on solo projects.  If you are a Big & Rich fan it sounds like a show that you won’t want to miss.  Check out their website at http://www.bigandrich.com for tour dates and cities.

Part 2 of the interview gets fun. This is our 10 quick quirky questions.  We get to hear about two of John’s favorite artists and his plans for future albums.  We also get a impromptu performance in “spoken word, reneck style”.  We also get to hear about his first kiss from a “smoking hot” girl when he was a kid.   I promised John that we would “get it all in there” so this is the full second part of our interview from start to finish.

Don’t forget to enter to win the “For Every King, A Mentor” contest at www.CrownRoyal.com. The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to Nashville for a behind-the-scenes look into Rich’s performing, producing and songwriting career; a tour of the mansion where his Country Music Television show “Gone Country” is filmed and a personally-signed guitar. Rich will also host a country music insider’s tour of some of his favorite Nashville hangouts.

John Rich definitely gets people talking and I think that is what is most important.  His passion and love for country music cannot be denied.
