Lauren Alaina is off and running in 2012 and it’s getting busier. She is currently on her very first country music tour opening for Jason Aldean’s 2012 “My Kinda Party” tour. She will be in East Rutherford, NJ Saturday night opening for Aldean and Luke Bryan before waking up early the next morning for a live interview on Fox & Friends Sunday (March 25th at 9:00 a.m. ET). The Georgia native will then make her first solo appearance on Today on Monday, March 26th at 10 a.m. EDT to perform her already Top 30-and-rising hit single “Georgia Peaches.”
The singer/songwriter will also stop by for interviews with ABC News Now and Seventeen.com to talk about everything from her rising career, hot new single, new album and being the opening act on two of the biggest tours in music this year. Alaina will then head to Las Vegas to participate in events surrounding the annual Academy of Country Music Awards (April 1).
The Rossville, Ga teen is back on the road playing a few days later as the opening act for super-duo Sugarland when their “In The Hands of the Fans” tour kicks off on April 5 in Toledo, OH. She returns to open for Jason Aldean again for six dates in May including two sold out shows in their home state of Georgia (Atlanta – May 18 / 19).

Josh Turner was up early yesterday morning sipping sweet tea in New York City with Hoda Kotb while he co-hosted the final hour of The Today Show in the place of Kathie Lee Gifford. Celebrating latest radio hit, “Time Is Love,” that’s currently No. 21 on the Country Billboard charts and climbing, and forthcoming album, Punching Bag (in stores in early summer), Turner helped be the judge of Today’s Voice Contest: Kids Edition, caught up on the latest celeb gossip and even helped Kotb interview Bernadette Peters from NBC’s hit show, SMASH. At the beginning of the show, Kotb asked Turner to show off his oh-so-recognizable low, baritone vocals and compared him to the late Barry White.
Later, Turner tweeted, “Having a blast sitting in for Ms. Gifford this morning,” with a photo of his name posted on her dressing room door.
