The Other Half of the Wreckers Coming Back To!

We told you on Wednesday about Michelle Branch’s new album set to be released this summer.  BUT, did you know that the other half of The Wreckers is hitting the country road again to?

Jessica Harp is set to release her first single, “Boy Like Me,” (which features Keith Urban on guitar) on iTunes beginning February 10th, 2009, along with a video, which Jessica will shoot in January.

Click Here to hear a clip of the song.  It sounds like a great song and certainly a lot more country that Michelle’s song.

New Michelle Branch Song – Just a Preview but Sounds Great!

I often wonder what really happened the “The Wreckers”.  I really loved their single “Leave the Pieces” and it seemed that they were off to a great start making country music together.  Looks like solos gigs are going to be better suited for the duo.  Thanks to our friend over at Nashville Gab here is a preview of Michelle Branch’s new song. Looks like a good one!

The song is called This Way from her upcoming album, “Everything Comes and Goes” which is due to be released this summer.

Now I am sure that you will find as this blog matures that I have my own personal favorites in country music. You will also find that I sometimes will play a little bias towards my favorites but I must stop right there any say…..

Country Music Association – you have way stepped past what I call civilized by passing up Rascal Flatts this year for a nomination for Entertainer of the Year! What were you thinking?

They have one of the largest fan bases in country music, they are selling out venues that no one else can and they have sold over 17 million records! Really – what were you thinking?

I supposed my guess is that Kenny Chesney will win it again this year – hell, he is leading the nominations with seven, but you could have at least rewarded their hard work, rigorous tour schedule and adoring fans with a nomination.
