The Roys And Vietti Foods Extend “Vietti Vinyl” Campaign To “Family Style Beef Stew”

The Roys

The Roys, will join Vietti Foods to extend the Vietti Vinyl campaign, with the duo’s image appearing on 500,000 cans of the brand’s Family Style Beef Stew in Family Dollar stores in 25 states throughout 2012. The Roys are the first artists to grace the Beef Stew can labels; Vietti Chili line participants include: Chris Young, Bo Bice, The Isaacs, John Corbett and Riders In The Sky. The Vietti Vinyl initiative gives voice to musicians, and gives consumers a chance to spice up their music collection, sample new sounds and videos.

“Our company is highly selective in choosing the artists who participate in the Vietti Vinyl program,” says Philip M. Connelly, President, Vietti Foods Company, Inc. “And we are very enthusiastic to partner with The Roys. Fans should expect to discover them on another line of our products in the near future.”

“We are beyond excited to join the Vietti Family,” says Elaine Roy. “The company is dedicated to the creation of a superior product and active in several charities.”

The Roys, spokespersons for COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL, believe in giving back. They are also uniquely qualified to act as ambassadors for their genre. Two-time ICM Duo of the Year (2010, 2009), they were named the organization’s Inspirational Bluegrass Artist of the Year in 2011. Their current CD, LONESOME WHISTLE, continues to bring them not only critical acclaim, but retail success as well, and the disc earned them a spot on BILLBOARD’S Top 50 Bluegrass Albums of 2011 chart. As well, their hit single, “Coal Minin’ Man,” rocketed up the Bluegrass charts worldwide. Recently, Lee and Elaine signed a production deal with ValCom Studios for a new, weekly music-driven variety show (Roots And Music With The Roys), which begins taping next month.

“The last few years have been incredible for us,” explains Lee Roy. “Teaming with Vietti in 2012 gives us the chance to expand our music to new markets through the Vietti Vinyl project. We are truly excited about this opportunity.”

“It’s cool to be celebrating their birthday party with them; I like parties and seem to excel in that type of atmosphere,” commented Kid Rock on the event.

Tootsie’s is known to have been used as a “green room” to some of the greatest Opry stars including Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and Ernest Tubb.

“Tootsies is where the stars would come to wet their whistles and pick their guitars,” says Tootsie’s owner Steve Smith.

“Two years ago, we celebrated with Kris Kristofferson, Terri Clark, Randy Houser and Mel Tillis. This year, we celebrated with Kid Rock. The Tootsie’s Birthday Bash is becoming an annual event and who knows what we will plan for 2012!,” adds Smith.

The 1st Annual Christmas 4 Kids Celebrity Golf Tournament

In 1982, the late Conway Twitty, with a little help from friends Loretta Lynn and The Oak Ridge Boys, had a vision to help make children who otherwise would be without a Christmas, enjoy the spirit and joyful times of the Holiday. Since that time, then known as Christmas Caravan and now incorporated as Christmas For Kids, the organization has helped brighten thousands of children’s lives during the Holidays.

Since its debut to the Nashville area, Christmas 4 Kids has had the whole community buzzing with anticipation for its annual events. Now 29 years later, in the spirit of Twitty and Lynn, Debbie Lamberson, President of Christmas For Kids, Inc., has announced the organization has created an annual golf outing to continue raising awareness and funds.

“My father toured and played for Loretta, so I have known about this organization since I was a kid,” says Lamberson. “I became the organization’s President in 1994, with one goal in mind, to find a way to help more children enjoy Christmas.”

The 1st annual Christmas 4 Kids Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by Prevost will take place on April 10th at the Pine Creek Golf Course in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. The annual event will be hosted by the newly-awarded ICM Bluegrass Artist of the Year recipients, brother and sister duo The Roys.

“We are thrilled to lend our name to such a great organization. We love giving back, and helping kids just warms our hearts. It’ll be a fun day and the best part is we are helping kids have Christmas! That’s magic!” says Elaine Roy.

“Being involved with Christmas For Kids for the last four years has been incredible for us. Getting to put our names on such a great event really means the world to us. Having two kids of my own I cannot imagine them not having a Christmas. We look forward to playing some golf with our friends and raising a lot of money for the kids. As Elaine said it’s going to be magic!!” adds Lee Roy.

This one day, April 10th, golf extravaganza will feature many stars of the music and sports world competing for a great cause.
