Stormy Montana Sing This City Home Bloopers

There’s a lot that can be said about Stormy Montana – she’s smart, talented, and hard working – but what she’s not is adept at driving. Bear in mind, it’s not her fault. Like any 16 year old, she’d like to be, but considering her busy schedule, she just hasn’t had time to take a Driver’s Ed class (and her mother simply isn’t THAT brave). So when she shot her video for “Sing This City Home” off her Someone Like Me CD, her insistence that her 1969 GMC pickup be an intregal part of the video made everyone a little nervous.

Things turned out pretty well considering before the video shoot Stormy had never, not even once, been behind the wheel of a vehicle. She’d never drove at all. In fact, when they went to pick up the truck from the mechanic, they weren’t even sure if the truck would even be drivable. But the mechanic did a fantastic job (much to everyone’s consternation) and got it up and running like, well, a fine oiled machine.

And so on that winter day that felt more like that of late spring, Stormy Montana got to drive. No one said she did badly. After all, no one was killed, the Keg building still stands, and all the animals remained safe – but as you will see in these outtakes, she didn’t exactly always get it right. As she says, “it was all going so well…”

New Music Weekend – Stormy Montana

Stormy Montana

Stormy Montana‘s album, “Someone Like Me” hit the internet for download November, 15.  I gave it a listen, and wow! This 16 year old of Dresden, TN sure can sing!

Stormy has already sold 7,000 physical copies, with 2,000 being on the first night! One of my favorites on the album is “Sing This City Home”.”We will sing this city home, remember those who’ve come and gone, sweetest song I’ve ever known”.

Stormy shows some of her wild side in her song “Heart on Ice” There’s a voice that tells her to do something that she might regret. “Just one kiss and I could soon forget that there ain’t no ring on my finger yet, my mama always dreamed that I’d be wearing white, better put my heart on ice.”

There’s really not a song on Stormy’s album that I dislike. A couple other favorites of mine is “Ripple in the Water” and ” A Woman Scorned”. The majority of the songs are mostly up-beat, which is what I prefer anyways. Unlike a lot of songs out there in country music today, Stormy’s music isn’t what I would call “pop-country”. Just simply, country.

You can hear the 15 fully produced tracks that are on the album at www.stormymontana.com there you will also find the links to purchase the album online.  Also, follow Stormy on twitter. www.twitter.com/stormymontana
