Steve Azar to Participate in Caddyshack Golf Tournament

Steve Azar will be one of the many celebrities participating in The 11th Annual Murray Bros. Caddyshack® Charity Golf Tournament, returning to the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Florida March 24-25, 2011. The two-day event has more than 300 golfers spread over two courses and has established itself as one of the premier charity events in the Southeast. Due to positive support from sponsors, celebrities, and volunteers, the tournament continues to grow and thrive each year.

Event highlights include a pre-tournament party where players have a chance to bid for a celebrity teammate, and a post-tournament awards party. In previous years surprise performers have included Azar, Jimmy Fallon, Darius Rucker, Branford Marsalis, and many others.

Proceeds from the tournament this year will benefit the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Summer Academies, located in St. Augustine, Florida.

“It’s always a blast to get together with all the Murray Brothers at their event and to be part of raising money for such a great charity,” says Azar. “I also look forward to the chance of dethroning last year’s Sterling Sharpe’s team and coming home with the win.”

When Azar is not recording or on tour, he enjoys relaxing on the golf course. He has been regarded by many in the golf industry as one of the top musicians who play the sport. In fact, he has twice been named one of the top 5 players in Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Musicians That Golf.”
