Taylor Swift Covers ‘Parade’ Magazine & Stalks her Fans

Taylor Swift graces the cover of the October 24th issue of Parade magazine. Inside, Taylor discusses growing-up, love, and new music.  It also turns out that Taylor is a big fan of her fans…stalker style.

On how she stalked a fan in Nashville one day.
“I was driving near the mall and I saw this girl with my tour T-shirt on. She was probably 11. I made a U-turn and tried to follow her—I really had to do some maneuvering. I found her in a video-game store and just kind of walked up to her and said, ‘Oh, hi. I wanted to meet you.’ She had no idea what to say for about three minutes. Then her mom walked over, burst into tears, and proceeded to tell me that they’d driven all the way from Austin, Texas, just to see where I was discovered.”

Martina McBride Talks T.I./Kid Rock Collaboration with Parade Magazine

Martina McBride has dished to Parade.com about the touring life with 3 daughters, the future of country music, and inspiring Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift…She also gives some details about her recent collaboration with T.I. and Kid Rock for the song “Care” which is out November 16th.

“It’s a really uplifting song. It talks about how you can’t really change what’s going on in the world necessarily, but you can care about it and do what you can. Kid Rock came to me with the song and I’m just thrilled to be a part of it. I think it’s a great song and we’ve worked together in the past and it’s always a great thing to be able to work with him. I think Kid Rock is kind of a groundbreaker in that way, he kind of transcends all boundaries and loves all kinds of music and certainly loves country music, so we’ll see what happens with that.”

Kenny Chesney Covers ‘Parade’ Magazine to Talk Music & Love

Here’s a sneak peek at Parade’s August 8th cover story featuring Kenny Chesney. The country star talks candidly about why he decided to take a year off from the spotlight. Plus, how high school football changed everything for Kenny and helped him put the passion back into his life and career.  Kenny recently produced a documentary about the impact of high school football, The Boys of Fall, due to air on ESPN this fall.

Last fall, something inside Chesney changed, and shortly after he announced he was taking a year off of touring…

“I was standing onstage last year, and I felt like I wanted to be somewhere else. No matter how many people were out there, it all just felt like a blank sheet of paper. You’d think I’d have been happiest in my life playing music in front of 50,000 people at Gillette Stadium. But let me tell you, it’s an odd feeling to feel alone in the spotlight.”

Kenny also dishes to Parade about his brief marriage to Renee Zellwegger and the dating game today.

“The world is a different place now. I mean, if I go out with a girl, there is a possibility that she’s going to get up from the dinner table and go to the bathroom and use Twitter to tell everybody what she’s doing. And the next thing you know, everybody’s got a play-by-play of what you’re having for dinner. That would make anybody uncomfortable.”

Kenny Chesney Blames Football for His Hairloss

Kenny Chesney had a love-hate relationship with his football helmet in high school. That’s where he’d see evidence he was losing his hair. He tells Parade magazine when he was 17 or 18 he’d take his helmet off on the field and he’d see hair in it.  Kenny says he’d ask himself “what’s going on?” He says going bald did bother him in college a little bit. But, it doesn’t bother him now. He says friends of his in their 30s and 40s are just starting to lose their hair “and are freaking out.” But, he says he “went through all that in high school.”

Kenny graces the cover of Sunday’s (August 8th) Parade magazine where you can read the full interview that includes Kenny talking football, fond childhood memories and feeling alone despite being adored by millions of fans.

Willie Nelson is Talking Music & Heartache in This Weeks PARADE Magazine

In this Sunday’s issue of PARADE Magazine, Willie Nelson discusses everything from living on the road for six decades to legalizing marijuana and the heartbreaking story of his son’s suicide and three failed marriages.

In this very private and detailed interview Willie says:

“Anybody can be unhappy, we can all be hurt. You don’t have to be poor to need something or somebody. Rednecks, hippies, misfits—we’re all the same. Gay or straight? So what? It doesn’t matter to me. We have to be concerned about other people, regardless.”

“I think most art comes out of poverty and hard times,” he adds. “It applies to music.  A lot of country music is sad.  Three chords and the truth—that’s what a country song is. There is a lot of heartache in the world.”
