DJ Miller Asks: Who Are You “Between Sundays”? – New Music Weekend

Newcomer DJ Miller has just released his brand new single, “Between Sundays.” The 21-year old Indiana native is singing about the measure of a man — are you only a good, honest, God-fearing man on Sundays, or do you live that way all week? It’s one of those songs that makes you stop and think about how you’re living your life each day. Would God be proud of the life I’m living between Sundays?

There’s something about Miller’s voice that reminds me of a young Chris Cagle. I’m looking forward to hearing more music from this guy. I think he has a lot of potential. If you listen to the song and agree, contact your local radio station and ask them if they’re aware of DJ Miller. There’s definitely something there that I think country music fans are going to love and relate to.

Miller’s album is scheduled to be released later this summer. In the meantime, check him out online:

John Rich is in it “For The Kids” – New Music Weekend

Having recently won $700,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, John Rich is still trying to win a check from Donald Trump to give to the kids. In the meantime, John has released “For The Kids” on iTunes with proceeds going to St. Jude’s.

For $1.29 you are both giving to a great cause and getting a great song. Rich is able to provide a soulful tune while singing about a touchy subject matter. This heart wrenching song tells the stories of some of the kids at the hospital. The kids are able to fight through their battles with a smile on their face. If it weren’t for St. Jude’s, there is no telling what would have happened to these kids. As you finish listening to the song, you feel hopeful for all the kids being affected by these deadly diseases. If these kids are able to fight through hard times with a smile on their faces, so should we.

Head over to iTunes now to purchase the song with proceeds going to St Jude’s. Otherwise I advise you to please head over to stjude.org/donate and give whatever you can give “For The Kids”.

New Music Weekend – Johnny Cooper

Johnny-Cooper

Johnny Cooper has a distinct voice that I think fits a different genre.  With very little country feel although which genre he would fit into I’m not sure. With that being said however, I very much enjoyed listening to his music. He reminds me a bit of Dave Matthews crossed with Jeff Healey. I would recommend everyone over the age of 35 to listen to him and think back to when we were growing up in the 80′s and how much we loved that sound back then!
