Montgomery Gentry’s YouTube Video for “Where I Come From” Crashes Site

Average Joes Entertainment released a press release yesterday, January 24, noting the impressive 1.3 million views for Montgomery Gentry’s “Where I Come From” music video. Shortly after the release went out nationwide, the award-winning duo’s YouTube channel experienced technical difficulties and the video could not be viewed. YouTube has not responded to the issue at this time.

Due to the fact this video truly has hit the hearts of Americans with over a million views and thousands of touching comments, and has connected with radio listeners across the country reaching the #17 spot on the radio charts, Montgomery Gentry’s management has uploaded the video a second time.

“Technology. You can’t live with it, you can’t live without it,” jokes Eddie Montgomery. “But we’re really proud of this video and the message that goes along with it, so it’s important to upload it again for our friends out there.”
“Maybe we can beat the 1.3 million views,” adds Troy Gentry. “Here’s hoping our friends will check it out again and leave us some more great comments. We love hearing from everybody. We just got an email today from a guy in a small town in SC that a national media outlet made out to be just a bunch of “rednecks”. He made his own video showing the pride in their hometown. We really love that people relate to this song in so many ways.”

Directed by Potsy Ponciroli and produced by Chris Conner from Team Genius Productions, the video was shot in a California desert and a rock quarry in Nashville, TN. Working closely with the video treatment, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry wanted to honor the troops and the towns “where they come from.” The video opens with a battlefield scene with a wounded soldier laying on the ground. While his fellow soldiers try to rescue him, he is having flashbacks and memories of his beloved hometown.

“Where I Come From” is the lead single from Montgomery Gentry’s new album, Rebels On The Run, released on their new label home, Average Joes Entertainment.

Hunter Hayes Set to Heat Up Rascal Flatts 2012 Thaw Out Tour

_DSC3918

Underestimated.  That is what I did to Hunter Hayes.  I totally, 100% underestimated the talent, music and amazing stage presence he brings.     I took a long lunch break this afternoon and headed downtown to Soundstage to check out a private rehearsal as Hunter gets ready to hit the road with Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans on Jan. 12 for the 2012 Thaw Out Tour.

His 5 song set list  is sure to please those fans who learned early on how great and talented he is.    In all honestly, after what I heard today, his set list should be longer.  I was ready to stay for another 5 or 10 songs.  His energy and musicianship was a welcoming surprise.

The singer-songwriter released his self-titled  album with Atlantic Records in October 2011. The record contains 12 solid songs, all of which he had a hand in writing.

CMTT Contributor Kristi Olsen says, “His lyrics are intricate and intelligent, and there is nothing remotely cheesy about him. Plus, he plays just about every instrument known to man: guitar, piano, drums, bass, mandolin, accordian…he probably plays a mean tambourine, too.”

He has shared the stage with big names like Taylor Swift, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Keith Urban and has penned songs for Rascal Flatts and Montgomery Gentry.

To find out when Hunter Hayes will be in a city close to you visit www.HunterHayes.com.  Don’t miss out on something great because you underestimated his talent like I did!  What you see on paper is true, Hunter Hayes backs it up with an energy filled set!

Check out the rest of the pictures from his rehersal visit our Flick page here.

Waylon Jennings Tribute Album Volume II Includes Dierks Bentley, Justin Moore, Hank Williams Jr. and More!

Waylon

Today, Average Joes Entertainment, in conjunction with Scatter Records, announced the official release date for WAYLON – The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, Volume II. The album will be available for pre-sale purchase digitally on January 24, 2012, with availability at retail starting on February 7, 2012.

The eleven-track album, and the second of a three volume series dedicated to the late Waylon Jennings, features country music artists performing the hit songs that made Jennings a household name. WAYLON – The Music Inside, Volume II boasts a solid lineup of artists each of who were heavily influenced by Jennings’ legacy. The lineup for WAYLON – The Music Inside, Volume II includes Dierks Bentley, Justin Moore, Hank Williams Jr., Jessi Colter, Montgomery Gentry, Jewel, Jack Ingram, Colt Ford, Josh Thompson, Pat Green and Wyatt McCubbin.

“I feel like this project could very likely break another sound barrier,” says Jessi Colter. “Waylon was so original. For his songs to be sang by other people and to take me somewhere else is not an easy task.”

Recording for the three volume series started over three-and-a-half years ago, and has been a labor of love for Jennings’ widow Jessi Colter; son Shooter Jennings; and guitarist Reggie Young. They, along with producer Witt Stewart, have assembled a star-studded roster of artists to pay tribute to Jennings and highlight his undeniable musical and cultural influence.

Colter adds, “I’ve been pleasantly surprised of the fact that the people involved chose to make the songs their own. They add something to it and to me that’s what makes it interesting. They made it their own because they could never walk in Waylon’s tracks. They’d be stepping in holes.”

Waylon Jennings is recognized as one of the key players of country music’s ‘outlaw’ movement. Jennings was in good company with fellow artists of his time including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson. They were the musical talents who defined a new genre of music with rebellious attitudes, which, in turn, translated over into their music. The ‘outlaw’ rebellion denied Nashville’s straight-laced model and brought the era of whiskey-drinkin,’ bar brawlin,’ woman lovin,’ country music to the forefront.  WAYLON – The Music Inside, Volume I, was released last year and is available for purchase now.
