Mindy McCready and David Wilson exuberantly announce the birth of their son, Zayne. (Born Monday morning, April 9, 2012.) Recuperating, she and David respectfully request privacy to enjoy time with their new little miracle.

“Zayne is truly a blessing and a joy. It was a long and trying pregnancy; we’re so happy he’s here. There are no words to convey how happy we are,” McCready states.

Mindy was reported to be carrying twins but her rep confirmed to the Daily News Thursday that considering McCready’s size last fall, “Mindy was certain” she was pregnant with twins, and that a “misinterpreted sonogram seemed to support her feelings and excitement.”

Mindy McCready’s 5-year-old son is staying in Arkansas foster care while his custody battle plays out in a Florida court.

CMT.com reports that a judge in Florida decided to keep the case, but allow Zander to stay in Arkansas until custody details can be worked out. A state social services representative had recommended transferring the case to Arkansas where Zander is going to school and seeing a therapist.

Last November, McCready took her son from her mother’s house near Fort Myers, Florida. Her mother is Zander’s legal guardian. Police later found the McCready and Zander in Arkansas. Zander’s father, Billy McKnight, wants his son back in Florida. McCready wants him to stay in Arkansas.

Mindy McCready left an Arkansas court room a “happy girl” yesterday. Although court documents were sealed, so the exact outcome is unknown…Mindy did give some hints to reporters gathered outside the court.

“I can’t talk about it, but I can tell you all I’m a happy girl. I’m a happy girl right now,” she said, “I love Judge Harrod, I’ll tell you that. I love that man. He’s a good man.”

According to ABC.com, Mindy later sent a text message to HLN’s Jane Valez Mitchell, which she read on the air, that said, “WE WON!!! ZAN STAYS,” McCready wrote. “Court details sealed but we love Judge Lee W Harrod.”

Well…I guess the saga continues. No further details have been given as to when Zander and Mindy will return home together.

Well, the Mindy McCready saga continues…Mindy and her son Zander have been taken by authorities after they were found hiding in a closet in Heber Springs, Arkansas, Friday night. According to People.com,  the home was Mindy’s boyfriends and authorities had it under surveillance.  Zander is in the custody of Arkansas children’s services awaiting transport back to Florida with his maternal grandmother.  It is unclear at this time whether or not Mindy will face charges.
