According to The Tennessean, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are ready to officially call Nashville their home. The couple recently purchased over 300 acres in Williamson County to build their dream home on. The land sold for just over $2.9 million.

“They were really good to deal with,” Landsouth Tennessee President Ardavan Afrakhteh said. “I dealt with Mike, and he was really down to earth.”

No word yet on when the couple plans to break ground. I’m sure they will be glad to have a place they built together.

A lot has changed for Carrie Underwood and her hockey playin hubby, Mike Fisher. First, the two made Nashville their permanent residence after Mike was traded from Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators. Then, some wise-ass Canadian radio station, KISS 105.3 decided it was all Carries fault they were losing one of their star players. So they announced, they were banning all of Carrie’s music from the air waves as discipline for the “betrayal to our community.”

The stunt was actually more of a joke since the station isn’t even in the country format…But the joke wasn’t found funny by many, including her hubby Mike.

“I heard about it right away, and Carrie heard about it and she was extremely disappointed and frustrated,” Fisher told the Vancouver Sun. “I think they meant it as a joke that really wasn’t funny … obviously Carrie had nothing to do with the move or the trade or anything, so to imply something like that was just wrong.”

There had been talk of Mike being traded, but not at the request of the couple.

“I was just so frustrated and said ‘God, if you have me go somewhere take care of it, look after it,’ and he sure did that,” Fisher revealed.

And besides Ottawa, Nashville was the next best place.

“He put me in a place I was comfortable with and I think that’s part of reason that this is the place I’m supposed to be and that’s comforting for sure.”
