
Jimmy Wayne walked from Nashville to Pheonix to raise awareness of foster kids aging out of the system, but now his mission is getting national attention. A Home for the Holidays, will feature performances by Melissa Etheridge, Maroon 5, Ricky Martin, Nelly, Katy Perry, and former foster child turned country star- Jimmy Wayne. The special will air on December 22nd on CBS.
Throughout the show, stories of adoption and foster care will be told, and Jimmy will share his own story of growing-up in the system before becoming homeless.
“I was 16 years old and that family changed my whole life, every cell in my body. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for them,” Jimmy said in a CBS press release.
