Love and Theft Make Some Tennessee White Whiskey on GAC’s Day Jobs

Love and Theft

Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson of Love and Theft weren’t certain what they were getting into when they agreed to take on the fine art of whiskey making for GAC’s “Day Jobs.”

For them, whiskey was something they’d experienced as bar patrons. They never realized the hard work and craftsmanship required to make smooth white whiskey — especially Popcorn Sutton’s White Whiskey, the barometer by which all other white whiskies are measured. Under the tutelage of Jamey Grosser, owner of Popcorn Sutton’s White Whiskey Distillery and keeper of Popcorn’s legendary recipe, Love and Theft try their hand at distilling the fine elixir…without breaking the delicate machinery and without taking a sample.

Can they stand the pressure? Tune in starting this Wednesday, May 16 at 9 PM (CT) / 10 PM (ET) to find out. For more information on Popcorn Sutton’s White Whiskey, please visit www.popcornsuttonswhiskey.com.

Country Music Hall of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Hot Nights at the Hall summer concert series for museum members will return on June 5 with a performance by hitmaker David Nail. The series, which debuted last summer, features live music, food, autograph signings and exclusive access to the museum and Museum Store. “Our members are a vital part of our museum family, and their contributions directly support our mission,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “We created Hot Nights at the Hall last year as a way to say ‘thank you’ to the members we have, and to encourage others to join us by providing them with a really great value and yet another benefit to museum membership. We’re excited to bring the series back this summer and again offer members old and new a chance to hear some great music, meet the performers, and enjoy our exhibits after hours.”

Each Hot Nights at the Hall event runs from 6 – 9 p.m.; concerts begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by autograph signings in the Museum Store. For more information on Hot Nights at the Hall or museum membership, please visit www.countrymusichalloffame.org/membership.
