Happy Independence Day from CMTT

WISHING EVERYONE A VERY SAFE AND HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.  ~Erma Bombeck

Lee Greenwood Asks- ‘Does God Still Bless the USA?’

The undying love that Americans have for Lee Greenwood’s patriotic anthem, “God Bless The USA” became more apparent on Sunday, May 1st, 2011. The song was sung by thousands who gathered across the country (outside the White House and New York’s Ground Zero) to celebrate the valor of the United States military. In response to the hundreds of tweets Greenwood received following this event, he has made available to his loyal fans a new version of the prideful song. The free digital download is offered for a limited time with all pre-sale orders of his upcoming book from Tate Publishing, Does God Still Bless the USA?, at www.tatepublishing.com/leegreenwood/

The book will be delivered in stores nationally on July 4th. Along with the new version of “God Bless The USA” the Greenwood book will contain a music disc of the loyal patriot’s new inspirational single “Show Me the Way.”

MJ2 & Celebrity Friends – You Can’t Say Love Enough

“You Can’t Say Love Enough”  is a charity single by female group MJ2 and their celebrity friends, with all net proceeds from sales going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  The list of artists who donated their talents to the single is impressive:  Andy Griggs, Bill Anderson, Buddy Jewell, Burns & Poe, Cowboy Troy, Dolly Parton, Heartland, Heidi Newfield, Larry Gatlin, Lee Greenwood, Mark Collie, Moe Bandy, Rio Grand, Rudy Gatlin, Steve Wariner, T.G. Sheppard, and Wayne Newton.  In “You Can’t Say Love Enough,” the artists convey a positive message:  say “I love you” today because tomorrow is not a guarantee.

While I don’t expect MJ2, a relatively unknown group, will be able to make “You Can’t Say Love Enough” a timeless classic like Michael Jackson’s charity ensemble single “We Are the World,” they do make a nice effort.  It’s a meaningful song born out of love for a worthy charity.  Purchasing “You Can’t Say Love Enough” by MJ2 and their celebrity friends is a simple way for us all to show love for the JDRF through a monetary gift.
