Gloriana Speak from Their Hearts to Thank Fans

Gloriana has had an amazing year!  Their album was released in August and is already the best selling country debut of 2009 and to add a cherry on top they won the fan-voted T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2009 American Music Awards last night beating out Lady GaGa, Keri Hilson and Kid Cudi.

The first call the band received immediately following their win was from Taylor Swift from London to say, “I always believed in you guys and always knew you could do it.” Adding with a laugh “But didn’t actually think you’d do it!!!”

“We cannot even put into words right now how thankful we are to the fans who voted for us and to everyone who has made the last couple of months an absolute dream come true,” said Cheyenne Kimball. “This is still a bit surreal for us,” added Tom Gossin. “It’s such an honor to win an American Music Award, especially since it is voted on by fans and we are so grateful to have amazing fans.”

Gloriana will hit the road again next year on Taylor’s Fearless 2010 Tour.

Gloriana Fans Unite

Gloriana

Gloriana is campaigning for AMA’s Breakthrough Artist of 2009. After beating out Zac Brown Band in the Country category for the award, the Fantastic Four is calling all Gloriana fans to unite and take down the competition. Instead of a bat, be looking for a mighty “G” lighting up the sky.

The summer anthem “Wild at Heart” singers are ready to “Knock You Down,” Keri Hilson. They are ready to take your “Paparazzi,” Lady Gaga. They are ready to make you think about defeat “Day and Night,” Kid Cudi.

After dominating the prelims of voting, the self-thought underdogs are in the running to capture a Breakthrough Artist AMA for country music.

When asked about the nomination and dropping former touring bud Zac Brown Band in the previous round, older bro Tom Gossin explains his take. “We were more just glad for them. We were like, ‘Oh, Zac will definitely get it, and that’s awesome because he deserves it.’ Then, we ended up winning that preliminary round. What I think it comes down to is our fan base we’ve developed is very Internet savvy. …We were really surprised when we saw that we won that preliminary round. Now we are just like, ‘Man, I wonder if we have a chance to win the main round.’ We’d love to.”

Well, the fans would love it too. They’ve accepted the task and are working overtime to make this dream come true. Tweets declaring thousands of votes by single followers, YouTube videos showing supporters tirelessly submitting Gloriana for Breakthrough Artist again and again, slogans by the band to promote the efforts, even voting parties—Rachel, Cheyenne, Mike, and Tom have quite the momentum heading into the final week of voting.

Superman defeated Lex Luthor. Spidey conquered the Green Goblin. And, Gloriana too plans to capture victory on November 22.
