Jason Aldean is Ready for The Grammy Awards This Sunday

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean is ready for the Grammys this weekend.

He is up for three Grammy awards including: Best Country Album for ‘My Kinda Party’, Best Country Solo Performance for “Dirt Road Anthem” and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Don’t You Wanna Stay”.

Jason, in an interview with Dan Van from Albright & O’Malley Radio Consultants Prep said if he was only to get one Grammy he would choose the one that has boosted his career.

“I would say just based on what this ‘My Kind of Party’ album has done for my career, I think it would be really cool to win Album of the Year.” Jason says. “To me that’s a big one, I’m not totally selfish I’ll take any of them, I just want one, I really don’t care which one it is, just to say that I won a Grammy but if I could hand pick one to win Album of the year would be my pick.”

Jason will be performing his duet ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ with Kelly Clarkson at the Grammys.

The Grammys are known for some surprises and Jason says he is not expecting any Kanye West stage interruptions or anything, but Taylor Swift is performing and Kanye leads in Hip/Hop Grammy nominations this Sunday, so anything could happen right?

“I would like to see that,” Aldean making reference to a Kanye debacle.

But Jason is ready to defend his stage if Kanye does interrupt him when accepting an award. When asked what Jason would do,

I can tell you what I would not do and that is stand there with my hands in my pocket, it would not good, it would make national news” Jason states.

Jason will be on the look out for some legends of music this Sunday and would be flattered to bump into Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen.

“Even if it’s a two minute conversation, for us in the country music world we don’t get to see legends like that.” Jason says.

The Grammys take place this Sunday night 8:00pm – 11:30pm EST on CBS.
