2011 Crockettsville Charity Concert & Trail Ride Raises Over $80,000

Chad Warrix and David Tolliver, formerly of the country duo Halfway to Hazard along with Concerts 4 A Cause brought a revived demeanor to the small town of Crockettsville, KY this weekend after hosting the 2011 Crockettsville Charity Concert and Trail Ride to benefit children of adoption and foster care at Buckhorn Children and Family Services.

Along with artists Randy Houser, Keith Anderson, Christian Kane, Danielle Peck, Gabe Garcia, Craig Wayne Boyd, Larry Cordle and Lisa Torres they were able to raise over $80,000 — all of which goes straight to the kids.

The buzz of the event combined with the weekend’s pristine weather forecast recruited over 10,000 people to attend the concert on Saturday, August 27 at Abner Farm in Crockettsville, KY — nestled between Buckhorn and Jackson, KY where Chad Warrix grew up.

One of the event’s sponsors, Monster Energy Drinks, added a thrill of nail-biting excitement with a stunt show from all-star FreestyleMX riders and prepared event-goers for the next day’s 42-mile ATV trail ride through the dust and mud, which drew in over 500 celebrities and patrons this year.

“We couldn’t be happier with this year’s outcome,” said Chad Warrix. “The energy from all of the performers and audience was overwhelming and knowing that all of it was made possible by the volunteers from the local community who care so much about giving makes it that much more fulfilling.”

At the start of the trail ride on Sunday, August 28, the 500 participants formed a line and paraded past the Buckhorn Children & Family Services facility where hundreds of children and employees cheered on the riders with smiles and signs of appreciation.

“Being able to put a face on the cause reminds us why we’re all out here doing this,” said Warrix. “The smiles on those kids’ faces keep us all coming back year after year, and for as long as we have friends and fellow artists willing to participate, we’ll continue to do so for years to come.”

Performers and schedule for the 2012 Crockettsville Charity Concert & Trail Ride are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.  For more information on the event, visit www.crockettsville.com.

Trent Tomlinson Recruits Uncle Kracker, Keith Anderson For Hometown Benefit

Trent Tomlinson will return to his hometown of Kennett, Mo on Tuesday, May 24 to perform an exclusive benefit concert for the Delta Children’s Home.

Tomlinson will be joined by fellow recording artists Uncle Kracker and Keith Anderson.

The Delta Children’s Home has been going strong since 1963 and has benefited thousands of children throughout the region. With the current economic conditions, every little bit helps, so we’ve committed to donating 100% of the concert proceeds to the organization. You can bet we’ll continue this tradition for years to come.”

The Delta Children’s Home has been changing the lives of children in southeast Missouri for more than 40 years. When kids have nowhere else to turn, the Delta Children’s Home provides not only a roof over their heads, but a strong foundation on which to build new lives.

Tracy Lawrence Presents 1st Annual Golf For a Cure

Tracy Lawrence is proud to host the 1st Annual Golf For A Cure Charity Golf Classic on Monday, May 2nd, benefitting Susan G. Komen Greater Nashville. To be held at Five Oaks Golf & Country Club in Lebanon, Tennessee (621 Five Oaks Blvd.), Lawrence will be joined by celebs from the performing stage and the ball field.

As part of his personal initiative to give back, Lawrence, along with his friends in sports and entertainment–Darryl Worley, Brad Arnold (3 Doors Down), Ira Dean (former Trick Pony member), Keith Anderson, Bryan White, Matt Gary, Ty Brown (of “The Bachelorette” fame), Cory Hildreath (One Night Rodeo), Davis Daniel, Elbert West, Lacey Brown and more–will raise money for Komen Greater Nashville spending the day on the greens as comrades in mission and play.

After a challenging 18-hole game, the Golf For A Cure outing will be followed by a celebratory reception. An awards presentation will take place during the reception, along with silent and live auctions and an up-close acoustic concert featuring Lawrence and friends. The entry fee* for the day (including game, lunch and show) is $225 per player. For a mere $50, music enthusiasts can enjoy the show-only. The price of admittance includes FREE beer, vodka and rum beverages (provided by Pinnacle Liquors–while supplies last). Big tag silent auction items include an authentic, autographed Nolan Ryan Rangers’ jersey and photograph and a Fender Squire electric guitar autographed by the members of 3 Doors Down. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to Susan G. Komen Greater Nashville.

Over the course of the past 15 years, Lawrence has hosted his golf classic in Texarkana, Texas benefiting the Tracy Lawrence Foundation. Influencing, enhancing and improving hundreds of thousands of residents’ lives in and around Lawrence’s hometown of Foreman, Arkansas, the Foundation has donated more than 1 million dollars to 35-plus communities and civic groups in and around the area. Lawrence hopes Golf For a Cure will garner the same success and proceeds for the efforts of Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation.
