A special thanks to Christy for emailing us her review of the Little Big Town Ride for A Cure event from CMA Fest week!

All that was happening in Nashville last week and a special group of artist took the time on Sunday to Ride For A Cure for the TJ Martell Foundation to raise money for Leukemia, Cancer, and Aids Research.

When my husband & I woke Sunday morning, the skies were very grey. According to the weather channel and my husband’s phone, the rain was supposed to hit right about 10:30am, when ride was scheduled to begin. Coming all the way from South Alabama, we weren’t going to let that stop us. We saddled up our Hog and headed for the Harley Davidson of Cool Springs. We arrived at 9:30am and festivities were already underway. We got our bike staged, signed in and got our free T-shirts, then met up with my Facebook friends. Little Big Town and Facebook uniting the world. LOL!

Before long, Storme Warren called Little Big Town to the stage to announce the ride, see video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83FhoGZxSS4, and everyone headed for their bikes. The ride was absolutely wonderful. We only got a few rain drops, the clouds made the ride comfortable, and the scenery was magnificent. Everything ran smoothly and we pulled into the Harley Davidson Superstore of Columbia a little before noon. Lunches provided by Applebee’s were included in our $35 riders package, so we pulled up a curb and chowed down.

The performers started almost immediately because of the huge line up. Artist such as Kate & Kacey, Jamie O’Neal, Jamey Johnson, Shelly Fairchild, Jason Michael Carroll, Martina McBride, and of course Little Big Town volunteered their time to take the stage and raise money for such a worthy cause. There was also a live auction in between performers with items donated by the artist. Many of the artist were available for autographs throughout the day and it was a very personable experience.

I heard old favorites and was introduced to some great new music. We made new friends and had a great trip. I definitely hope to return next year and suggest to any Little Big Town, country fan, or motorcycle rider to come join in next year. It was truly a memorable experience.  ~Christy
