Little Jimmy Dickens Needs Our Prayers

Eighty-eight year old senior Opry member, Little Jimmy Dickens, is recovering from brain surgery today in Nashville.

Jimmy is “recovering in a Nashville-area hospital following surgery to repair a subdural hematoma,” the Opry said in a statement to WKRN-TV. “He is resting comfortably. The family asks for your thoughts and prayers for Jimmy as he recovers.”

I’ve seen Jimmy perform at the Opry several times.  He is one of those lovely bedazzled gentlemen that lights up a room with his smile and his sequins.  He’s sweet, kind, and incredibly funny.  I love watching him perform.  He is basically what the Opry is all about.  He is a perfect example of what country should be; love of music, a love of performing, and a love of making people happy.  So, please pray for Jimmy and his family.  He is a kind soul and we hope to see him back at the Opry real soon.
