Thanks to our awesome friends on Facebook the CMTT FB page now officially has over 5K likes! We want to continue to grow our Facebook family so our way to say THANK YOU for sharing us with your country lovin’ friends is to giveaway lots and lots of prizes!

Today we are kicking off our CMTT 5K Giveaway! The contest will run today through Sunday, February 5th. You are allowed to enter once per day per contest. That means you can enter to win as many of the prizes as you want!

How to Enter to Win Big in the CMTT 5K Giveaway

Step 1: Login to your Facebook account and “like” Country Music Tattle Tale on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/countrymusictattletale
Step 2: ”Like” each of the artists participating in the contest. The Facebook page for each artist is listed below with their contest details.
Step 3: From YOUR Facebook account update your status to show the message for the contest you wish to enter. The Enter to Win status update for each artist is listed below. Please make sure both CMTT and the artist is tagged in your status update so we know you entered to win.

*How to Tag Pages on Facebook*

You can only tag pages that you like. See Step 2 above.
Add the @ symbol then the name of the artists Facebook Page in your status. When you add the @ symbol and you add the first letter of the artist, you’ll see a drop down list. Just add more letters in order to find the artist on the list.
Click on the artist you want to tag. When you have tagged the artist, their name will be blue in your status message.

This Saturday, January 7, on CMT’s Southern Fried Flicks, country music matriarch Jessi Colter and modern day outlaw, Jamey Johnson, visit Hazel Smith’s kitchen to talk-the-talk in preparation of the upcoming album, The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, Volume II.

Over a delicious southern dish, Nashville’s favorite TV hostess Hazel Smith invites Colter and Johnson into her kitchen for a chat about one of country music’s original outlaws, Waylon Jennings. This weekend’s edition of Southern Fried Flicks features the 1984 hit film, Footloose.

The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, Volume II, the second volume in the three-part musical dedication to the late Waylon Jennings, releases from Average Joe’s Entertainment in early 2012. Brett Eldredge, Robin Meade, Oak Ridge Boys Added To ACM Honors

Brett Eldredge, Robin Meade and the Oak Ridge Boys have been added to the lineup for the ACM Honors. They join performers Rodney Atkins, the Gatlin Brothers, Randy Houser, Jack Ingram, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Thompson Square and Lee Ann Womack.

This year’s honorees include Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and Reba McEntire. The ceremony will be held Monday in Nashville.

George Jones Celebrates Star-Studded 80th Birthday at Grand Ole Opry

The Grand Ole Opry® presented by Humana® threw an 80th birthday party for one of country music’s all-time most renowned voices, Grand Ole Opry star and Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones, during tonight’s (Sept. 13) sold-out Tuesday Night Opry.

Performances from the show included Jones tributes by several of today’s hottest stars. Alan Jackson performed “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and together with Lee Ann Womack sang “Golden Ring.” Jamey Johnson performed “Whose Gonna Fill Their Shoes,” while The Oak Ridge Boys entertained with “Same Ole Me.”

These amazing performances and more can be seen nationally Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. Central as “Opry Live” returns to GAC (Great American Country) with six new star-packed episodes.

The Grammy Museum to Host an Evening with Randy Travis

As part of the celebration honoring his 25-year career, The GRAMMY Museum will welcome legendary country icon Randy Travis for a special discussion and acoustic performance on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Warner Bros. Records released Travis’ Anniversary Celebration duets CD on June 7, 2011.

Zac Brown Band, Kristin Chenoweth, Kenny Chesney, Don Henley, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are among the acclaimed artists that join Travis on Anniversary Celebration. The album includes new songs in addition to re-recorded versions of many of Travis’ megahits.
