CMA Music Festival celebrates the unique relationship between Country Music artists and their fans in the heart of Music City USA. The artists participate for free, and on their behalf, CMA donates half the net proceeds of the Festival to support music education in Metro Nashville Public Schools through the Keep the Music Playing program. To date, more than $6.1 million has been donated to purchase musical instruments and supplies. The total also includes a $1 million endowment gift for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Words & Music program.

Top Tweets of the Week – Week of August 14th

10. The next few tweets show what an honor it is to stand in that magical circle at the Opry.  @JamesWesley1 simply tweeted “Dressing room #10 tonight!!”

9. @HunterHayes told us how he felt after standing on the stage.  “I still can’t believe I played at the Grand Ole Opry tonight!!! Freaking out over pictures of me behind the mic. Unbelievable!!”

8. Driving can be scary at times, but I don’t think I have been as scared as @KipMooreMusic here: “Wrong way on a 4 lane 1 way traffic zone…..little scary. Think my scream was that of a 3 year old”

7. @LauraBellBundy has been all around the country and seen many things, but after finishing album #2 she had the best day ever! “As I lay me down to sleep, I think… This was the best day ever! Got to finish tracking my record & Katy Perry said ‘OKRR?!’ on stage. : )”

6. I’ve had many dreams where I meet celebrities. I guess @ScottyMcCreery does the same “I swear last nite I met Conway Twitty in my dreams. So i’m gonna hit the hay and see if I meet anybody cool tonight… Elvis?”

5. The H20 Tour is probably the tour of the year to be on.  To show his gratitude, @BrettEldredge gave Brad Paisley a new car! “I gave @BradPaisley my #Camaro!!”

4. Once again PETA would not be proud of Blake, but I laughed at what @JrodFromOz (Jerrod Niemann) tweeted “@blakeshelton told kids tryin 2 get a cat out of a tree “don’t bother the fire dept. w/ that crap. Where’s a rock or a bigger, hungrier cat””

3. Some days you need a little more inspiration than a morning cup of coffee. @ChrisYoungMusic has something a lot stronger than that “I was kinda down today… and then I remembered my dad survived lung cancer and I still have the man I look up to in my life #perspective”

2. I guess even the best singers have the right to mess up; @BradPaisley proved this in Europe.  “Favorite moment from London Botching the words in “Then”as the crowd laughed. Fav moment from Dublin?botching WaitinOnAWoman & they laughed.”

1. I never realized how long @BlakeShelton’s career has been.  Here is to another 50 years! “Just finished a set that melted my own face… It included 17 singles that ranged from 2001 to 2011… Son of a bitch I’m getting old…”

James Wesleys New Video for “Didn’t I” Premieres Today

The redesigned MP3.com is premiering James Wesley’s new music video for his current single, “Didn’t I,” as part of the site’s 30-day relaunch campaign. This exclusive premiere of the video is available NOW at MP3.com, along with a free download of the song.

Directed by Marcel Chagnon with PoDunk Productions and produced by Jay Nelson, the music video was filmed at an 1800’s colonial farmhouse in Columbia, TN. Wesley got a chance to showcase his acting chops in the video, which was no walk in the park, as most of his shots were filmed while being doused in over 500 gallons of water. “The Maury Country Volunteer Fire Department was kind enough to provide the ‘rain’ for the video,” explains Wesley. “It was hot, so it felt really good!”

To view the 24-hour exclusive premiere and get the free download, visit www.mp3.com

James Wesley is currently one of the opening acts on Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now World Tour.” To get a complete list of tour dates, visit www.jameswesleymusic.com
