Lady A’s Hillary Scott Covers ‘Redbook’

The lone lady of Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott, covers Redbook magazine’s December issue. The beauty was so captivating, the magazine had a hard time deciding which cover to use.

Inside the issue, Hillary discusses being the odd “man” out…er girl in the group.

I don’t mind it. There are moments when I’m like, If I hear one more ‘That’s what she said’ joke, I’m going to pull my hair out. But for the most part, the guys are so easygoing, and there’s no drama. In high school I was the manager of the football team, so being around boys is natural to me!

Another thing that comes naturally to her is being on the road. Hillary was raised on a tour bus with singer and Mom Linda Davis.

I was homeschooled on the road for kindergarten, then went to elementary school and a private Christian school while living with my grandparents until I graduated, and I loved it. But my parents were gone a lot. I’ve learned to adapt my whole life, and I’m thankful for that, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t mad for a couple of years in middle school!

You can read more about Hillary in December’s issue of Redbook on newsstands November 14th. You can see more of the sneak peek here.

Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott is a single lady no longer. Chris Tyrell and Hillary have been dating since meeting on the Tim McGraw tour last year, and he popped the question this past weekend in East Tennessee.

“Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed,” Scott shares. “Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!”

How exciting for Hillary and Chris! Congrats to the happy couple!!! You can read more on People.com.

Sara Evan’s Celebrates No. 1

On Wednesday, Sara Evans gathered with friends, family, and songwriters to celebrate her latest smash no. 1 hit, “A Little Bit Stronger.”   The song, co-written by Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey and Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott, was based on some emotional turmoil Hillary went through after a break-up.

“I personally would like to thank that dumb boy who broke your heart,” Lindsey told Scott as the three writers stood side by side onstage with Evans to accept a torrent of plaques and certificates.

Sara is thankful for the autobiographical song that she didn’t write.

“This song is the most autobiographical song I’ve ever written,” she concluded, “and I want to thank Hillary and Luke for being my therapists.”
