CMTT are big fans of the duo Halfway to Hazard. We think these guys are super talented, and have worked extremely hard. However, it seems the hard work as taken it’s toll on the duo. David Tolliver recently decided to take a break from the group to concentrate on his life outside the music, and posted this to their facebook page.
To the wonderful and loyal H2H fans,
I want to first thank you guys for all your support and love over these past few years, you guys are awesome!!! It has been a wild ride so far and we have made so many great friends and memories but at this time in my life I have to take a step back and deal with some personal and family issues that I have neglected to address until now. I am gonna take a break from Halfway to Hazard and put my energy into making myself a better man, father and husband! I will miss you guys but it will only be for a short time, after that we’ll see how this life is gonna go! God bless you all, I love each and everyone of you like family!!!
Thanks for everything,
David
All of H2H’s hardcore fans took to the Internet via facebook and twitter to express their devastation over the turn of events. It’s obvious they understood how hard the music business can be and the toll it can take on one’s family. Chard Warrix expressed his disbelieve in the outpouring of love and support.
David is taking off from H2H and music for some personal reasons over the next few months. Thank you for your continued support. Halfway to Hazard is very special me and to David as well. Our fans have kept us going over the last few years with amazing support of each and all of our endeavors. We are both so humbled by that. I can’t honestly say what the future holds for H2H but I know that God and family are always first, then comes career. So in a few months from now, David and I will evaluate the current situation and decide the fate of Halfway to Hazard altogether. I can only speak for myself when I say that I WILL continue to write songs, sing, play guitar, produce records and live music everyday for the rest of my life in some form or fashion. I am also thankful for all those whom have attended our concerts and bought our albums, because H2H will always live within those memories and with those recorded songs floating around this beautiful planet playing in your cars, clubs, gyms, offices, iPods, homes, etc. I also would like to say that the Annual H2H Charity Concert/Trailride will live on regardless!
Thanks again,
Chad
(H2H)
Again, we want to wish Chad and David all the best in their personal and professional endeavors. These guys have been a personal favorite of mine for many years. Chad is currently keeping his options open and will be sharing the music he creates while H2H is on break on www.ChadWarrix.com . CMTT will keep you up to date on the status of H2H and the guys future endeavors.
