Bonnaroo Goes Country….Sorta

Bonnaroo

Bonnaroo started as a punk/alternative jonga-festival several years ago.  Taking over a Tennessee cornfield for a long weekend, thousands flocked to camp out and rock-out, helping the local Manchester police meet their annual arrest quota.  However, over the past couple of years, more and more country acts have performed at the event including Dierks Bentley.  However, this year the performers are even more surpising.

Steve Martin and Cross Canadian Ragweed will join John Fogerty, Weezer, and the Flaming Lips for the fab four-day event.  Click here for more information.

I never thought I would get excited about a video game but that day has arrived!

“Rock Band” is getting more country. They are adding a seven pack of songs to the Rock Band Music Store.

Here are the songs: Alan Jackson’s “Good Time,” Cross Canadian Ragweed’s “Cry Lonely,” Jason Aldean’s hit “She’s Country, “I Told You So” from Keith Urban, the Kenny Rogers classic, “The Gambler,” “This Ones For the Girls” by Martina McBride and Shania Twain doing “Any Man of Mine.”

These songs originally appeared in the Country Track Pack but they’ll be available as downloadable content in the Rock Band Music Store. They’ll be available tomorrow on Xbox 360 and Wii. They’ll be ready for the PlayStation 3 system January 7.
