Coldwater Jane Releases Debut Studio Album Tomorrow

Known for bringing beautiful harmonies, authenticity and romance back to country music, the sister duo Coldwater Jane, comprised of Brandon Jane and Leah Crutchfield, are kicking off the 2011 fall season with the release of their debut album. Marionette (Mercury Nashville) releases Monday, August 29th and is produced by legendary, Grammy award-winning producers Wayne Kirkpatrick and Kevin Kadish. The album will be available on Monday for purchase via all digital platforms including iTunes and contains 11 new songs including the highly anticipated single “Marionette”.

“Marionette is rootsy, country and very much a part of who we are as sisters”, says Brandon. “It was a joy creating it and I hope people feel that when they hear it. This record feels like country and folk music we grew up loving so much.”

“Every song we wrote on this record is about the way something effected us; whether it be love, restlessness, disappointment, growing up”, adds Leah. “It’s us. It’s honest.”

Coming off the heels of the success from their 2010 hit single “Bring On The Love”, Coldwater Jane wrote and co-wrote each song on the album. The album is comprised of brand new originals including the sing-along title track “Marionette”, the anthemic “Rock My Soul” and the true to country roots ballad “Tough as Nails” and “(You’re The) Best Thing, Since Jesus”. In addition to the album, their website (www.coldwaterjane.com) includes a bonus behind-the-scenes making of the music video for “Bring On The Love.”

Top Tweets of the Week – Week of January 23rd

10. @joeyandrory is probably the most down to earth duo there is in country music! After working at Marcy Jo’s, Rory just goes to the shop to pick up his car! “just picked up my Olds from the shop. Had to get some transmission work done on her.” http://yfrog.com/h0j32rj

9. I think most of America watches American Idol to make fun of the bad people and @ColdwaterJane is just another one of those people! “i like to watch american idol… for the bad people. does that make me heartless?? -b”

8. It does seem like at least once a month there is an awards show, but @blainelarsen puts it in the best perspective: “I think we have enough awards shows. Pretty soon there will have to be an awards show to honor the best awards shows! It’s coming folks!”

7. I think this just proves how normal @TaylorSwift13 is. Even when she is getting awards, she still gives high-fives like everyone else! “We all got dressed up and went to a party tonight where lots of wonderful people gave me and my producer Nathan shiny plaques-We high fived.”

6. Maybe this is why people’s new years resolutions never work! Too many temptations! @TerriClarkMusic wrote: “‘who to follow’ on my twitter account just suggested “Weight Watchers” AND “Paula Dean”…sounds counter productive”

5. This doesn’t need an explanation from me! @WhitneyDuncan said “Taking a bubble bath while being serenaded by my bf & his guitar. This would b super romantic if he wasn’t playing me my own songs. Haha”

4. @TaylorSwift13’s guitarist @GrantMickelson gave this tweet of inspiration about never giving up! “Met a guitarist last night who’s auditioning 2 get into Belmont’s Skool-O-Music, best of luck dude! If you get in, DON’T QUIT…like I did.”

3. When a joke doesn’t go well theres always an awkward silence, but @bretteldredge has found what to say! “My buddy told me a joke and when I didn’t get it he said ‘well that went over like a fart in a space suit’..ha! Never ever heard that one!”

2. There is nothing like the sound of a needle hitting that old record as @KelliePickler says “My Gpa Pickler gave me him and Gma’s old record player. Still sounds beautiful and so do all of the old records. Reminiscing.”

1. @DierksBentley is busy in the studio, but while he’s at it why not release one CD a month for the rest of the year? It will make the decision of what songs to puton the CD a lot easier! “‘@corbers: Yes, go the jamey Johnson route and give us a double dose of dierks! Double CD-26 songs?’ haha… how about 3… why not”

Coldwater Jane Wants You to “Bring On The Love”

Coldwater Jane is an up and coming country duo comprised of sisters, Brandon Jane and Leah Crutchfield. Their single “Bring On The Love” is currently
one of my favorite songs. This is an up-beat song sending out a positive message to “Bring on the Love” all the way from California to Virginia.

Songs such as this one in particular sure can brighten my day and put me in a better mood. It’s also a song that I wish people would actually
take heed in and act upon. Pretty lyrics sung by beautiful voices. Coldwater Jane is definitely a duo that will have me on the look out for their new music.

Keep in mind- “Ain’t nothing so broke we can’t fix it, it just needs a little TLC, yeah in a dry spell
what can you do but be the rain everybody needs.” ….Gotta love it!
