Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler – Undo It and… by tigershere

It’s not the first time Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood have teamed up live, but this CMT Crossroads will sure go down in music history.  Carrie and Steven WOWed audiences performing their hits; “Cryin’,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Before He Cheats,” “Walk This Way,” “Undo It,” and more!

Carrie was near flawless in her performance with Steven and his screams pulling of key a few times but overall it still kicked music butt!

CMT Crossroads: Vince Gill & Sting to Premier in November

Two highly-acclaimed musicians, Sting and Vince Gill, are the latest duo to take the stage for an all-new episode of CMT Crossroads premiering Thursday, November 24th at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT. The performance, taped earlier this year at New York City’s famed Hammerstein Ballroom, resulted in an exceptional night of rocking collaborations and in-depth interviews.
The 90-minute premiere features the duo partnering on Sting’s hits including “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You,” and “Every Breath You Take,” plus Vince Gill’s “Liza Jane” and “Whenever You Come Around.” The musical chemistry between these multiple Grammy Award winners (over 35 between them) shines on stage, especially during their chilling cover of the Everly Brothers “Let It Be Me.”
Never-before-seen interviews with the two musicians reveal their reflections on the longevity and success of their careers, thoughts on popular assumptions about the meanings of their songs, how they’ve developed as artists, and ultimately, why they continue to play music. The passion and respect both Sting and Gill possess for their craft has never come across so elegantly on a CMT Crossroads stage.

Keith Urban and John Mayer CMT Crossroads

keithurban_1mayer1

Ahhhhhhh!  Those are really the only words that can describe what Tawny, me and only a few hundred other people witnessed last night.  Keith Urban and John Mayer taped CMT Crossroads  in Nashville and I am sure I do not have to mention the music those two men made together was phenomenal.

A lot of you have emailed us asking for details about the show but we are not going to give you details (because we want you to watch the show).  All we are going to say is this:

We spotted Jake Owen, Caitlin Lynn, Kix Brooks, Scott Borchetta and yes….Taylor Swift in the audience rocking out to the best guitar playing I have ever witnessed.  Taylor sang along to every word of every song and everyone was excited to see what these two would pull out of their pockets next.

I have heard a lot of people using the word epic to describe things lately (Michael Jackson’s This is It, Avatar, etc.)  So I took it upon myself to look up the true definition of epic:    heroic; majestic; impressively great:  noting or pertaining to a long poetic composition, usually centered upon a hero, in which a series of great achievements or events is narrated in elevated style.

To finish our vocabulary lesson…I will use it correctly in a sentence:

CMT Crossroad with Keith Urban and John Mayer is epic.

Unfortunately, they did not tell us an air date for the show but we will keep our eyes and ears open and let you know as soon as we know.   This will be a must see show for anyone who has love, passion and a feeling for music.
