More Presenters Announced for ACM Awards

Several big stars have been added to the already amazing performance and presenter list for this Sunday’s ACM Awards. Celine Dion, Chase Crawford, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and The Judds will all present deserving folks with awards. It’s shaping-up to be one heckuva show with Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton co-hosting the event.

Tune in Sunday night on CBS to see all the ACM Awards action.

“We Are The World” Remake Includes Big Country Music Names

Just like 25 years ago, when musicians came together for the original “We Are the World,” country stars are in the mix this time, too.

Here are the singers with country ties who took part in the new recording last night: Miley Cyrus, Sugarland, Zac Brown, Julianne Hough and Jeff Bridges. Jeff Bridges has been singing country because of the movie, “Crazy Heart.” They joined dozens of others like Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, the Jonas Brothers, Kanye West, Tony Bennett and Jennifer Hudson.

The original included Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kenny Rogers, which was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. That first recording raised millions of dollars for famine relief in Africa. Money raised from this new recording is to help the people of Haiti.

Carrie Underwood has been added to a special tribute to Michael Jackson during the Grammy Awards show airing on January 31st.  Carrie will be performing with Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, and Usher. During the tribute, a mini 3-D movie will air that was created by Michael Jackson for his This Is It Tour.

Also performing are country artists; Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, and the Zac Brown Band.

Kenny Chesney came in the top 3 for Pollstar’s Top Tours of the Decade.  Bringing in more than $455 million over the past 10 years from touring.  Kenny was only topped by Dave Matthews and Celine Dion. Rounding out the top 10 were Bruce Springsteen, U2, Rolling Stones, Madonna, Jimmy Buffet, The Eagles, and Elton John.
