Aaron Lewis Signs with Blaster Records

Aaron Lewis

Blaster Entertainment has signed Aaron Lewis to its growing roster of recording artists. Lewis received rave reviews for his inaugural country music project, “Town Line”, a solo EP that debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart last year. In addition, his debut single, “Country Boy” has been certified gold and had multiple award nominations.

“Country music was the first music I ever listened to,” Lewis said. “I sat on my grandfather’s lap listening to his country records and I grew to love them. The country audience has been so accepting of my music and I’m excited about working with the Blaster team to put out the new record this summer.”

Lewis’ current single, “Endless Summer” is picking up radio airplay now. Veteran music executive Skip Bishop, along with John Ettinger, Tony Benken and the entire Quarterback promotion team, have been introducing the song to radio stations. “You don’t have to look too far to find rabidly positive fans, press and excitement around Aaron Lewis,” Bishop says. “His music brings a very cool and contemporary edge to country radio.”

Aaron’s new music video for “Endless Summer” recently debuted on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend. Leslie Fram, Senior VP for Music Strategies at CMT said, “It was quickly obvious that we had just discovered the official anthem of the Summer of 2012!”

Lewis recently played to a record crowd at the Stagecoach Festival in California, an acoustic performance that one writer called one of the top five performances at that festival. Performing his recent hit “Country Boy” and other songs from his first country EP, Lewis had the crowd singing along.

Lewis follows in the footsteps of other great country artists who have signed with the Blaster Entertainment team. Hank Williams, Jr., Neal McCoy and Brother Trouble are also part of the Blaster family. Aaron Lewis’ full-length album is set for release later this summer. Blaster Records is distributed by Warner Music Nashville.

Celebrities Hit The Green At Nashville Celebrity Golf Tourney

Nashville teed-off last Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Hermitage Golf Course to show their support at the 10th Annual Waddell & Reed Celebrity Golf Tournament.

Fifty teams of four participated in the event with 32 celebrities joining sponsors and members of the community. Golfers played 18 holes on the picturesque course just outside Nashville and, hosts with the most, sharing in the fun, were the dynamic country music duo, Burns & Poe.

I find this kind of participation and friendship the greatest part of Nashville and the music industry.” Michelle Poe said. “Coming out, meeting fans and lending a hand, all in fun, to raise money is just one of the reasons I love this town!”

“My mother has rheumatoid arthritis and raising money for that charity in particular, which is so important to me personally, made the event even more special,” Keith Burns added. “Calling on friends to work AND play together strengthens country music, makes me happy and does leaps and bounds for the charities.”

Joining Burns & Poe and representing some of Music City’s best were legends Steve Cropper, Larry Gatlin, and Marty Raybon, award-wining songwriters and artists Ira Dean and Eric Heatherly, members of Ricochet, The Roys, Little Texas, LoCash Cowboys, The Grascals, Bo Bice,  Danielle Peck, Dustin Wilkes, Shane Thomas, Matt Gary, Lathan Moore, Scott Lindsey and Brother Trouble. Titan Craig Hendrix and LPGA golfer Clarissa Childs were among the athletes who lent their talents to the game.

Following golf, team members and attendees bid on unique memorabilia donated from Music Row. With the donations, participation fees and live auction items, nearly $20,000 was raised for The Arthritis Foundation and Christmas 4 Kids Inc. The item bringing the biggest price tag ($2,700) was a Rascal Flatts concert/bus trip (including an opportunity to join the guys on their road home). Dan Post Boot Co. also donated an assortment of boots to winning players.
