Brad Paisley Leaking Moonshine in the Trunk Against Labels Wishes

brad paisley

Brad Paisley has gone rogue!!!!!!! On Saturday (July 26) Brad took to his Twitter page to leak a short YouTube video of clips of  each song from his forthcoming Moonshine in the Trunk album.

“I’m going rogue,” Brad wrote in his first of many tweets Saturday night. “The label doesn’t know I’m doing this. Seriously. But I made a Moonshine Preview teaser. Don’t tell. Better listen to this while you can. I bet the label tries to pull it down. Clock’s ticking.”

Brad was right!  His label, Sony Music Nashville, shut Brad down quickly making the video private and sending him emails pleading with him to stop.    Not to be out down Brad posted the email exchange along with very funny captions.

“Hurry up and Listen,” he wrote. “I’m going to detention. Breakfast club!!! Here I come.”

Brad made sure his fans knew that he certainly loves his label folks but admitted to loving his fans even more by saying,

I really do love my record label.Especially for puttin’up with my $h@t. But I love ya’ll even more. Ha! Priorities.

It looks like Brad’s label has given up the chase.  His most recent preview video is still ONLINE!  Listen below:

And don’t worry Brad Paisley fans. It doesn’t seem like Brad is going to stop just because he won the battle.

He revealed that a 3rd clip is ready to go!

“The 3rd clip is ready to upload. Ha! Gotta get up pretty early in the morning to beat ole BP. Sometimes I feel for those vicariously responsible for my actions. Victory! Wow this was hilarious. Can’t believe I just had this exchange. Really funny.”

As Brad wrapped up his tweets to head on stage for his show, Brad left fans with one more teaser.

“Wonder if I can get away with that with an entire song….” he wrote. “Someone just asked if the label really didn’t know I was gonna post this clip tonight. They really& truly didn’t know. Y’all should be ready tomorrow night cause I may just leak somethin’else during @RisingStarABC -til then,BP-1 suits-0.”

And that teaser turned into a reality this morning when Brad sent Bobby Bones his remix of  ‘River Bank’ featuring Colt Ford.
Take a listen before it gets taken down to:

Brad’s Moonshine in the Trunk album is set to hit stores on August 26.

Brad Paisley- “Failure’s Not an Option”

Brad & kimberly Williams Paisley with Minnie Mouse

Brad Paisley and wife Kimberly Williams have been married for over a decade, and still seem to be totally in love. The secret?? Brad tells Wonderwall you have to go into it knowing that failure is NOT an option.

I think you have to have the same sort of priorities and outlook. You’re sharing a car. You’ve got to want to be going to the same place. You have to decide early on that failure’s not an option and that you’re going to evolve together. You’re going to change. We’ve been together now for a decade. You’re going to change. I’m so different than the total hillbilly she met.”

The couple share two sons and a life together in Tennessee…I’d say it’s all working out quite well.

Last week (July 18) on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, country superstar and Opry member Brad Paisley and former Rising Star contestant Sarah Darling performed Paisley’s hit “Whiskey Lullaby.” This was the fulfillment of the invitation he extended to Darling last week during the live broadcast of ABC’s new hit singing competition Rising Star after she was eliminated from the show by just a fraction of a percentage in the votes.

Paisley introduced Darling before the performance, saying “Welcome home – back to the place you belong, Nashville, Tenn.”
Darling responded, “There’s no place like home.”

Tune in for Rising Star on ABC, Sunday evenings through August 24, 9:00pm ET.

Brad Paisley Sides with the Police

Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley is siding with the police regarding an incident where a woman and her 4 month old infant were removed from the pit area of the concert. She says it was because she was breastfeeding, but police say it was for the safety and welfare of the child.

There’s no way I would take a [4]-month-old baby into the pit at one of my concerts. It seemed to me, it sure seemed that she did the absolute wrong thing,” Brad tells

I was somewhere else on the stage at that point.” But, he said, “from what I was told by the authorities, according to the police it had nothing to do with breastfeeding at all. Nothing. From what I saw in the video, it looked like they were kind,” he said. “It didn’t look like they were mean.”

There’s no way I would take a [4]-month-old baby into the pit at one of my concerts. It seemed to me, it sure seemed that she did the absolute wrong thing. When my kids go to concerts—and believe it or not, they were there at that one, and they rarely go — they look like Princess Leia, they have these huge earphones. And they’re back at the soundboard. Because even back there it’s 100 decibels.”

And down front in the pit? That’s much louder. Not only are you hearing the concert’s basic audio, but as Paisley explained, you’re getting some serious bass. “The subs that carry the bass are right there under the stage. And this is how powerful those are: those reach the lawn. We don’t have a separate set that are way back in the amphitheater. You got a little baby that’s hearing [those] frequencies … I mean, come on!”

“People are crazy, they do some crazy things and make some bad decisions,” he continued. “And that was in every way a bad decision. And I wish she would just learn from this as opposed to pretending to be a victim.”

There ya have it folks… Concerts are loud…even Brad Paisley ones…
