Last week (July 18) on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, country superstar and Opry member Brad Paisley and former Rising Star contestant Sarah Darling performed Paisley’s hit “Whiskey Lullaby.” This was the fulfillment of the invitation he extended to Darling last week during the live broadcast of ABC’s new hit singing competition Rising Star after she was eliminated from the show by just a fraction of a percentage in the votes.

Paisley introduced Darling before the performance, saying “Welcome home – back to the place you belong, Nashville, Tenn.”
Darling responded, “There’s no place like home.”

Tune in for Rising Star on ABC, Sunday evenings through August 24, 9:00pm ET.

Brad Paisley Sides with the Police

Brad Paisley is siding with the police regarding an incident where a woman and her 4 month old infant were removed from the pit area of the concert. She says it was because she was breastfeeding, but police say it was for the safety and welfare of the child.

There’s no way I would take a [4]-month-old baby into the pit at one of my concerts. It seemed to me, it sure seemed that she did the absolute wrong thing,” Brad tells

I was somewhere else on the stage at that point.” But, he said, “from what I was told by the authorities, according to the police it had nothing to do with breastfeeding at all. Nothing. From what I saw in the video, it looked like they were kind,” he said. “It didn’t look like they were mean.”

There’s no way I would take a [4]-month-old baby into the pit at one of my concerts. It seemed to me, it sure seemed that she did the absolute wrong thing. When my kids go to concerts—and believe it or not, they were there at that one, and they rarely go — they look like Princess Leia, they have these huge earphones. And they’re back at the soundboard. Because even back there it’s 100 decibels.”

And down front in the pit? That’s much louder. Not only are you hearing the concert’s basic audio, but as Paisley explained, you’re getting some serious bass. “The subs that carry the bass are right there under the stage. And this is how powerful those are: those reach the lawn. We don’t have a separate set that are way back in the amphitheater. You got a little baby that’s hearing [those] frequencies … I mean, come on!”

“People are crazy, they do some crazy things and make some bad decisions,” he continued. “And that was in every way a bad decision. And I wish she would just learn from this as opposed to pretending to be a victim.”

There ya have it folks… Concerts are loud…even Brad Paisley ones…

Fan Removed from Brad Paisley Concert… With a Baby Strapped to Her Chest

A mother and fan was removed from a Brad Paisley concert over the weekend, however, she and the police can’t seem to agree as to the reason why. Megan Christopherson was in the pit at Brad Paisley’s concert with her 8 year old daughter and 4 month old strapped to her chest. She told a local news station, it was because she was breastfeeding.

Police asked Christopherson to leave the pit area, offering her a seat in another section or a refund. The infant was not wearing ear protection, and officers say they were afraid for the child’s well being due to the noise and the surge of people in the pit causing bodily harm.

Where you’re at, your child could get crushed. We’re afraid your child’s eardrums are being hurt,” police stated in a YouTube video posted by Christopherson.

However, the mom is saying the real reason she was asked to leave was because nursing her baby was making onlookers feel uncomfortable.

I’m shocked. I’m disgusted at our society that women are shamed into nursing in bathrooms or their cars or feeding their baby in a bottle only because they’re scared to nurse in public,” Christopherson told NBC 7.

“It’s a country concert. I wasn’t at a death metal or a rap concert. It’s pretty somber at country concerts,” she told ABC 10, adding that she trusted her motherly instincts.

First, I’d like to say… country concerts aren’t what I would consider “somber.” Second, onlookers were probably uncomfortable because she had her 4 MONTH OLD BABY in the freakin’ pit at a concert… This lady is bound to get a trophy for “Mother of the Year” for trusting those motherly instincts….which obviously aren’t working properly. I think she should’ve left the baby at home with a babysitter, avoiding this entire situation.
